Introduction:
Mathematics develops naturally in infants and toddlers and they use it to make sense of their world. Math concepts through the daily use of early math talks offer better opportunities to develop the foundations of early math that are so important to later math learning and in general.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the label from the cans, wash and dry.
Trace on the butcher paper the 3 rectangles to line the cans, measuring the height and length with each of them and cut
Trace the bottom circles of the cans (1 circle of each color) leaving 1 inch wide outside the circle and cut
Cut tabs around the circle with the scissors and tape the circle to the can.
Line the cans with the rectangle of butcher paper sticking with adhesive tape
Draw 6 circles of 1inch of diameter in the butcher paper, cut out and glue: one circle to the smaller can, two circles to the medium can, and three circles on the large can.
Line the cans with adhesive tape lengthwise until completely covered by tucking the tape inside the can.
