I have three dogs: Gordo, Bella and Eevee. Gordo has white fur white like snow. Bella is a mix of light brown and white. Eevee has a little bit of mixed colors like gray, dark brown and a little bit of white.
They like to go on walks, but once we start to walk back home they stop and don’t want to walk anymore. I think because they enjoy promenading on the sidewalk watching the sunset and feeling the fresh air.
I would love to take them to the beach on a day in the afternoon so I can take pictures of them all happy. Gordo likes taking pictures when I tell him to sit down. He sits and starts to show off his big smile. Since he is 5 years old, some of his front teeth are falling out from eating a lot of bones.
My family is pretty close, so almost every weekend my uncles and aunts come over for dinner and my dogs always get little samples of food.
Bella was the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Everyday she waited in the same spot for me to get back home from school. Once she saw me she would start to jump so high like a bunny and move her tail fast.
My favorite memories with her were when no one was home and she would lay down in my stomach while we cuddled on the couch. Out of nowhere, she thought to herself to jump on the couch, chairs, and tables. I knew we had a strong bond when I would play dead and she would be the first one to come check me out, sniffing at me and staying there next to me.
She was the sweetest dog, but also an overprotective dog. If she saw someone walking on the sidewalk in front of my house, she would start barking like crazy. That's something that I loved about her no matter where we were. She always wanted to protect us. Bella was a small chihuahua, but inside she was a big dog.
I am that type of person that likes talking about their dogs. I always show my friends and family pictures or videos of them that I take on my phone. Originally I was going to write about my three dogs. But sadly Bella passed away last weekend. I decided that this writing will just be about her. It was hard to not get upset while writing this because I kept remembering the things we used to do. She may be gone but she will always be in my heart.
"I really like your piece, you described your dogs as family and that is so sweet. With your descriptive words, I could imagine your dog Bella waiting for you, taking walks with you, and enjoying the time that you all spent together. I am so sorry for your loss, but it was brave of you to talk about your dog Bella and truly, you honored her with this piece. Good work!"
