What Voltage Is The Ccell Palm "Set" At?

As you're aware, the Ccell Palm does not have a settable Voltage. So to find out what Voltage is actually supplied to the cart I took one apart and did a little investigation.

It turns out that the answer depends on the start of charge of the battery as follows...

So what does this mean in practice?

Well if you keep your Ccell Palm charge topped up, and you'll get a fairly constant power of around 8 Watts until the charge drops below ~50%. Thereafter the power will slowly fall to about 4.5W before cutting out altogether.

(Assumes TH210 cart with 1.5 Ω coil resistance and uses formula Power(W) = V²/R)

Palm is held together with a single screw beneath the top panel sticker. 500mAh battery is a lie, I bought mines as a 550mAh. Ribbon cable is power to the top panel LED

Some suspected components on the board (I might be wrong!)

Shows pulse width modulation style of Voltage regulation - basically rapid on/off switching to deliver a lower average Voltage. As the battery discharges from full, a longer on/shorter off period maintains Voltage until below 50% charge, the Voltage stops switching and just remains constantly on
