The Z-Series Coils
Varieties
The Z-series of coils are compatible with "Zeus", "Z", "Z (2021)", "Z (SE)", "Z (Fli)", Obelisk and the Poseidon ('P') tanks
Six types are available - 0.15XM (Ka), 0.15Ω (SS316L), 0.15(Ka), 0.2Ω(Ka), O.25Ω(dual Ka) and 0.4Ω (Ka). All types are the circular-mesh/fibre wick type.
Vaping Differences
Success is highly dependent upon the correct choice of coil, I've been amazed at just how different the various coils perform for dimitri. Here is a summary...(this table is best viewed on desktop, scrollable on mobile browser)
IMPORTANT - also see the max recommended d-juice Wattages/toke durations for each coil in the Zeus Setup & Useage Guide

Knockoff Vs Genuine Coils
Based upon my experience with knockoff coils included with my Wish Zeus, I do not recommend the knockoffs for the following reasons..
Poor finish throughout, including electrical contact surfaces
Thinner base contact ring, with shorter reach (look for this dead giveaway on vendor's pics selling knockoffs as genuine)
Manufacturing defects (esp with fitting the coil surface against the wick
The poor finish of the knockoff extends to the lower face of the base connection ring
Problems Affecting Coils
Heat Damage
To discover the existence of this problem in routine vaping was a disappointment, as I've never experienced this with any rebuildable self-wound coil/wick unless vaping after the tank had run dry.
Causes are as follows
Taking hits when the tank has run so low that parts or all of the wick become dry
Taking hits when tank not upright, where the tank cannot replenish juice lost by vaporization
Using excessively high Wattages
Taking excessively slow/long hits
The inevitable result of hitting the fire button before the tank is filled with juice without priming and/or allowing time for the juice to soak in fully into the coil
The result of a single 30W, 7 sec toke on a Z0.4Ω . Doesn't look too bad, but produced a smoky taste and changed the characteristics of the coil when subsequently re-tested at much lower Wattages
This was the result of a single 30W, 6 second toke on a Z0.2Ω whilst mod was not held upright (i.e. toking lying down). When held upright, the Z0.2 would be expected to handle this, but juice starvation caused a badly burned taste and an unpleasant experience. Note that owing to the tiny components and imperfect eyesight the meshes were inadvertently swapped onto the wrong wicks Apologies but I have no desire to recreate the scenario to get a corrected pic!
Leak-through
This happens when juice leaks either around the edges of the coils, or alternatively soaks right through the coil wick and drips into the base cap. In bottom airflow devices this can leak from the air inlet ports and become lost, but in the Zeus the juice will collect in the base and (if severe) cause gurgling and ingestion of juice when toking, and leak from the air inlet holes if the tank is left on its side or inverted.
The following causes of leak-thru have been noted ...
Juice level so low that one or both coil side-holes are not completely covered. Use of the straight glass is recommended to produce a higher level for a given volume of juice
Rolling around luggage during travels
Top cap not fitted properly or at all
Damaged or missing top cap seals, or coil seals
Damaged, missing or incorrectly inserted coil
Using higher wattages/longer tokes, especially with the NON-recommended Z0.4Ω coil
A little leak-through is expected with regular use, although some coils more susceptible than others (the Z0.4 by far worst during testing with dimtri juice)
If some juice has spilled down the centre hole when filling, this can also cause juice to pool in the base.
Note - if the base is carefully removed it's simple to retrieve and recycle at least some d-juice with a syringe and 14ga blunt tipped needle
