Coil Reset Procedures
For correct operation of temperature Control, any mod must have a valid accuate reference of room temperature coil (mesh resistance). This occurs during a coil reset, but it must be done correctly for it to be valid.
Procedure For Z50
Ensure your RDA or other atomiser is ready to use, i.e. mesh/coil installed, clamps firm, and any red-heat burns performed (for emesh) and screwed onto the Z50
With mod powered up (but no buttons pressed), unscrew and totally remove the RDA (or other atomiser)
Briefly press the "fire" button to bring up the "No Atomiser" message
Ensure the fitted coil(s) is(are) at room temperature (may be relevant to wider gauge wire coils if used)
Now press and hold the fire button whilst screwing on the RDA (the mod will not actually fire in this condition). Take care not to release the fire button until you're 100% sure the RDA is screwed firmly on
Release the fire button, the "new coil" prompt appears
Accept the "new" coil value (with the "up" key)
Coil is now reset
Procedure for the original Geekvape Solo, Mini, L200 and several other Geekvape models
With power on, unscrew and remove the RDA complete with installed mesh
Briefly press Fire to bring up the "No Coil" prompt
Power down the mod
With power off, screw the RDA back on and make sure all is firm (i.e mesh clamps nicely firm etc)
Power up the mod, the "new coil" prompt will show
Correctly accept the "new" value (On the original Solo this is done by pressing the upper half of the lower button)
Coil is now correctly reset. Try the "no toke" and "standard toke" wattage checks as described in the emesh update/troubleshooting video (linked below)
Aegis Max Coil Reset (also seems to work for the Solo/Mini and possibly other mods)
While powered on, unscrew the RDA complete with mesh until see the display shows 0.0Ω resistance.
Push and hold the fire button whilst screwing the RDA back in. The display will continue to show 0.0Ω resistance
Release the fire button, after a second the new coil prompt will appear with updated resistance showing
Accept the new value
