Dimtri: Intensity Levels
Using Controlled Intensity Levels To Suit Your Needs
Minty's Dimitri Intensity Levels
Threshold - Gentle relaxed trippy feeling, no visuals. Pleasant dreamy euphoria, subtle music enhancement, the "instant unwind"
Mild - Mild visuals on closed eyes, significant bodily relaxation with slight buzzing/vibrational sensations, significant music enhancement
Moderate - Closed and open eye visuals in vivid colours, extreme bodily relaxation with buzzing/vibrational sensations. Music sound & emotion markedly enhanced, intense feelings of peace, happiness, insights
Intense - Totally engulfing, time dilation, overwhelming visuals, music distortions (volume & tempo, a few seconds missing, ripping sounds etc), difficulty recalling self identity during trip, and trip details after comedown
Hyper Intense - Certainty of dying then death followed by complete loss of knowledge of physical self, human identity and all physical reality including concept of time. Music inaudible. Otherwise indescribable, and impossible to bring back memories from this level. May be sufficiently traumatic to result in permanent end to Dimitri relationship.
Above is a much-simplified description of how I class my own personal levels of intensity. Note that yours may not match this closely or at all, individual differences will result in wide variations
I was put off Dimitri for so long by believing the scare stories about it being wild and uncontrollable, and while it can indeed deliver such experiences, this isn't the full story. It can easily be controlled to provide a range of intensities to suit individual needs from a gentle light meditation upto complete obliteration of 3D reality. Be smart about it and you'll have complete freedom to decide.
Using The Intensity Levels Incrementally
Your First Time With Dimitri? If you're a newbie, and especially if you're not used to the vapour/vape tool/technique, then for the first few trips or even sessions, I'd suggest aiming for your own equivalent of Level 1, and gradually aiming higher only when you feel ready - i.e. when you've gained proficiency with your vape tool, become accustomed to the vapour, and are better able to relax into the altered headspace. Do this and I believe you'll be far more likely to have consistently positive experiences. Don't allow pressure from others, expectations of what you "should" be doing or anything else to push you deeper than you feel is right.
You're Experienced With Dimitri? However experienced you are, I'd still suggest starting each & every session at Level 1 and incrementally working up through your levels in a few pre-trips, which is exactly how I do it nowadays (I'll often take 4 or more gentle pre-trips or more over 1-2 hours to reach a strong Level 3 trip, obviously your own preferred pace may be different). This gets my body/mind accustomed to the experience, as well as testing the waters at lower levels to check all is going well. If the pre-trips aren't as welcoming and euphoric as expected, or perhaps the vape tool isn't performing optimally, or perhaps I'm simply running out of time, then I'll can scale things back and try again another day.
Reliably achieving your own desired intensity level - This may take practise, and it will almost certainly be easier to gain proficiency at reliably achieving lower levels first. You'll find some vape tools are better suited than others for this (discussed on the FAQ page)
Don't be rushed - I'd recommend enjoying each experience and gradually finding your particualy sweet spot for your session (mine varies per-session within a certain range depending upon my mood, and other unknown factors). There's no adverse judgement in sticking with lower levels forever if that's what suits you. Immeasurably better than diving in too deep and inadvertently putting yourself off further experiences with a badly burned throat, mouthful of d-juice, a terrifying experience - or all three and more besides.
