Considerations For Noobs
An informed decision - is Dimitri right for you?
Dimitri can be a pivotal tool for consciousness exploration, but doesn't seem to work well for everyone. Here are some points, many admittedly anecdotal, gathered from my own experiences, plus conversations with others whom I consider reliable friends.
If You're New To Dimitri, be aware that ...
Dimitri doesn't seem to suit everyone - Some just don't appear able to achieve good results for a variety of reasons. But also, if you're suffering from certain physical or mental conditions, or taking certain medications then particular caution may be wise. Also those not feeling a deep calling, succumbing to pressure from others, thrill seeking, or seeking an instant cure etc, would be wise to avoid it entirely.
Vaping Dimitri isn't as simple as swallowing a pill - Be prepared for considerable research, trial and error, time & money to be expended before achieving convcincing experiences. I've noticed wide individual variation and initially this may be a frustrating process requiring much patience.
Developing A Relationship With Dimitri Takes Time - Even if by some hypothetical miracle, you had perfect technique and vapour-acclimatisation on your first experience, this would likely only grant a "holy shit" type trip rather than accessing a deeper healing relationship. I suggest taking this process gradually, my own technique is still developing after nearly 5 years, and I see no end in sight.
If you're a noob then early priorities may include ...
Learning to relax into the experience, becoming accustomed to the altered consciousness space
Exploring & establishing the intensity level that suits you best
Learning to accurately dial in intended intensity levels without overshooting
Deciding whether or not to use music, and if so what genre suits your trips best
Trying out different physical settings - in darkness, daylight, outdoors, in nature, etc
Investigation & testing of additional vape tools
Learning to receive insights and integrate lessons into daily life
Unpleasant Trips & Undesired Physical Effects Are Possible - Dimitri may be a beautiful healer for some when used appropriately, but can also trigger very negative experiences too. By following the recommendations on these pages I believe the risk is greatly minimised, but if you're unable to accept the possibility then please avoid using it. Personal examples include
Extreme fear and anxiety during a trip, with residual after-effects
100% certainty of dying before your time, but without knowing why (no knowledge of taking a substance)
Uncovering of past trauma, consequences from your past actions on others
Vastly Increased heart rate and blood pressure (as reported by a friend who has managed hypertension for decades)
Nausea and disorientation, difficulty breathing, confusion, panic
Doors in your mind may be irreversibly opened - This might sound intriguing but can feel like an inescapable life-long burden to those unprepared
Staying Grounded - Take care to avoid the common trap of drawing hard and fanciful conclusions from your experiences, and if you do then consider keeping them to appropriate channels. Declaring to your family, friends etc that you've discovered we're living in a simulation, and attemplting to lend credibility to assertions by saying the "entities told you so" will do nothing for our community and will make you look like a complete fool.
Still Made Up Your Mind To Proceed? Bear In Mind ...
Dimitri Vapour - This will likely seem impossibly harsh at first, especially if you've never vaped/smoked and even worse as you're still getting to grips with the technique. If this is you, then forget tripping for now and just take time getting acclimatised to the vapour and familiar with the technique, after which harshness will almost certainly cease to be an issue. Choosing the right vape tool will greatly facilitate this process.
Choosing a Vape Tool - There is no such thing as a universal "best" vape tool, each one is a profile of compromises. If availability of Dimitri isn't a problem I'd suggest wire coil rebuildable sub ohm for it's versatility and smoothness of vaping. But it'll need research, and is not particularly vape-efficient so will neccesitate a good supply of Dimitri, but it's my own favourite by a mile. However, if you're drawn towards another tool then go for that - even if it turns out only to be temporary you'll learn much by trying it.
Obtaining a Supply Of Dimitri - You will likely receive persuasive messages from scammers promising a reliable supply via Instagram or similar. Typically they'll be expert at extorting your money whilst delivering nothing but attempts to blackmail you out of even more. Instead, I'd suggest purchasing some Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark and learning to extract your own Dimitri (see DpTek video for one such extraction tek, website for this tek is here - note: for resilience, the site is disguised a quack detergent additive promotion)
Misinformation is Everywhere - Sadly, many high profile community members constantly talk complete garbage about Dimitri to anyone who'll listen, especially targeting impressionable noobs, so accept nothing at face value from anyone - especially self-proclaimed Reddit experts (including & especially moderators), Nexus, vape shop staff, etc. Treat everything you read about Dimitri with huge skepticism. Several long-term community members have fragile reputations which depends heavily upon old long-outdated nonsense being proliferated and they'll have zero interest in your wellbeing if it threatens their frail self-image. Beware of mass uneducated parroting, question anyone making claims, and beware of single line "expert" reviews such as "this tool is freakin' awesome" and similar. Sadly, total bullshit has thoroughly saturated almost the entire Dimitri space.
Dimitri Legality - In many countries this substance has limited legality with varied enforcement policies/penalties, but supply, posession and use is often classed as criminal activity. Therefore, there may be implications with respect to your career, spouse, childen and freedom of conversation with friends, which may become an increasing burden over time.
