52:1
For the director.
A wisdom song of David.
52:2
When Doeg the Edomite came and reported to Saul and he said to him, “David has gone to the house of Ahimelek”.
52:3
Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man,
The faithfulness of God faithful [is] all the day.
52:4
You devise destruction.
Your tongue is like a sharp razor.
A doer of treachery.
52:5
You love evil more than good.
A lie more than a righteous word.
Selah.
52:6
You love all devouring words.
A tongue of treachery.
52:7
But God will pull you down forever
He will snatch you up and he will tear you away from a tent
And he will uproot you from the land of the living.
Selah.
52:8
The righteous will see and they will fear
And they laugh at him.
52:9
Behold the mighty one!
He does not set God [as] his place of safety
And he trusts in the multitude of his riches.
He is strong in his evil desire.
