26:1
Of David.
Judge me, Yahweh, for walk in my blamelessness,
and in Yahweh I trust and I do not waver.
26:2
Examine/prove me Yahweh, and test me,
Refine/set on fire my kidneys [inner person] and my heart.
26:3
For your covenant faithfulness is in front of my eyes,
And I walk about in your firmness/truth/reliability.
26:4
I do not sit/dwell with men of vanity,
And I will not come/bring with concealed things/dissembling, sneaky people.
26:5
I hate the gathering of the evil
And with the wicked I do not sit.
26:6
I wash my hands in innocence,
And I encompass your altar, Yahweh.
26:7
To cause [other] to hear/listen with/into a voice of thanksgiving [idiom]
And to recount all of your wonders.
26:8
Yahweh, I love the dwelling of your house,
And the place of the dwelling of your glory.
26:9
My soul does not assemble/gather with sinners,
And my life with men of bloods
26:10
Who in their hands [have] a [wicked] plan,
And their right hand is full of a bribe.
26:11
And I in my blamelessness am walking,
And ransom me,
And be gracious to me.
26:12
My foot stands on a level place,
In assemblies I bless Yahweh.
