Psalm 28
28:1
Of David.
To you, Yahweh, I call, my rock.
Do not be deaf from me,
Lest you be silent from me, and I be compared with/judged with ones going down to the pit.
28:2
Hear the voice of my plea for grace
when I cry to you/to utter a successive series of screams,
when I lift up my hand to your inner room of your holiness/sanctuary/holy of holies.
28:3
Do not draw/pull me with the wicked and with the workers of trouble
Speakers of peace with their friends and evil in their hearts.
28:4
Give to them according to their work
and according to evil of their deeds.
According to the work of their hand give to them,
Return their recompense to them [pay them back].
28:5
For they do not discern/understand the works/actions of Yahweh
And the work of his hand hes in him
throws them down
And he does not build them.
28:6
Blessed be Yahweh, for he heard my voice my plea for grace.
28:7
Yahweh is my strength and my shield.
My heart trusts in him,
And I am helped
And my heart exalt
And my song I praise/confess him.
28:8
Yahweh [is] strength to them [or him] or ‘to his people: LXX’. [textual issue]
And a mount stronghold/place of refuge of salvations of his anointed, is he. [Psalm 2, Psalm 18]
28:9
Save your people
And bless your inheritance
And shepherd them and lift them up forever.
