104:1
Bless Yahweh, O my soul.
Yahweh my God, you are very great.
You clothe yourself with splendour and majesty,
104:2
Wrapping oneself in light like a cloak.
Stretching out the heavens like a curtain.
104:3
The one laying beams/constructing his attic in the waters,
The one setting clouds [as] his chariot,
The one walking upon the wings of the wind.
104:4
Making his messengers spirits,
His servants burning fire [Heb 1:7]
104:5
He established the earth in its place.
It will not be shaken forever and ever.
104:6
You cover the deep like a garment.
Over mountains waters stand.
104:7
From your rebuke they flee.
From the sound of your thunder they panic.
104:8
Mountains go up, valleys go down
to the place you established for them.
104:9
You establish limits, they do not pass.
They do not return to cover the land.
104:10
The one who sends springs into the rivers,
between mountains they go.
104:11
They give drink to all his animals of his field,
The onager [untamable wild horse that looks like a donkey but is psycho] breaks their thirst.
104:12
Over them [the] bird[s] of the heavens settle,
From the midst of the foliage they give voice.
104:13
The one watering/giving drink to mountains from his attic.
From the fruit of your deeds you satisfy the land.
104:14
He causes grass to grow for the beasts,
And herb to the labour of mankind
To bring out bread from the earth.
104:15
And wine that gladdens the heart of man
To brighten faces from the oil
And food supports the heart of mankind.
104:16
The trees of Yahweh will be satisfied.
Cedars of Lebanon which he planted.
104:17
Which there birds make their nests
A stork has her house in the cypreses.
104:18
Mounts, the heights [are] belonging to mountain goats [ibex].
The crags [are] a refuge/shelter for the hyraxes [rock badgers].
104:19
He made the moon for signs
Then sun knows its entrance/place on the horizon.
104:20
He sets darkness and it is night
In it every animal of the forest creeps.
104:21
The young lions roaring for the prey,
and to seek from God their food.
104:22
[when] the sun rises they [the young lions] gather
And to their lairs they lie down.
104:23
A man goes out to his work
and to his service until evening.
104:24
How many are your works, O Yahweh?
You did all of them with wisdom.
Your product/handiwork fills the earth.
104:25
This [is/includes] the sea, great and broad [idiom]
There [are] creeping things.
And there is no counting of the living things, both small and great.
104:26
There ships go.
Leviathan, this you formed to play in it.
104:27
All of them wait for you to supply their food in its time.
104:28
You give to them, they gather.
You open your hand,
They are filled.
It is good.
104:29
You hide your face, they are disturbed.
You gather their breath, they expire.
And to their dust they return.
104:30
You send your spirit, they are created,
And you renew the face of the ground.
104:31
The glory of Yahweh is forever
Yahweh rejoices in his works
104:32
The one who looks to the earth, and it trembles
He strikes the mountains and they smoke.
104:33
I will sing to Yahweh throughout my life
I will make music to Yahweh as long as I continue.
104:34
Let my musing be sweet to him
I will rejoice in Yahweh.
104:35
The sinners are finished from the earth
And the wicked until they are not
Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
Praise Yahweh.
[Hallelujah, first time in the Bible, only occurs in the book of Psalms, and frequently thereafter in Book 5,
20 times, thrice at the end of Book 4].
