19:1
For the director, a song belonging to David.
19:2
The heavens recounting the glory of God
And the expanse [raqia] proclaiming work of his hands.
19:3
Day to day it [the day] pours out speech,
And night to night it [the night] declares knowledge
19:4
There is not speech,
And there are no words,
Without their voice being heard.
19:5
In all the earth he stretches out a string line
And at the end of the inhabited world their words set a tent for the sun in them [i.e, the words].
19:6
And he, like a bridegroom going out from his bridal chamber/canopy,
He rejoices like a mighty man,
to run a track.
19:7
From the end of the heavens [is] his going out,
And his circuit is upon/across their ends
And there is nothing hidden from its heat [i.e, the sun’s heat]
19:8
The torah of Yahweh is perfect (3fs), restoring life/soul.
The testimony is true, making wise the simple/naïve [unlearned].
19:9
The precepts of Yahweh [are] straight, giving joy to the heart
The commands of Yahweh are pure, enlightening the eyes.
19:10
Fear of Yahweh is clean, standing forever
the judgements of Yahweh are true,
They are all together righteous [verb tsdq].
19:11
More desirable than gold,
And more than much refined gold,
And more sweet than honey [date sugar],
And honey from the honeycomb.
19:12
Surely your servant is being admonished by them.
In keeping them is great consequence.
19:13
Who discerns error?
Acquit me from hidden things. [impv]
19:14
Surely from insolent ones withhold your servant.
Don’t let them rule over me.
Then I will be blameless and I will be clean from many/a multitude/great transgression.
19:15
Let the words of my mouth be favour
And the meditations of my heart before you, Yahweh, my rock/fortress and my kinsman/redeemer.
