John 1:1-5
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Divinity becomes Man...Infinity steps out of eternity and becomes a Man (if it fair to call Jesus a man)...This Man steps out of a life without time and into time, for us...The Word becomes a Man and teaches us about the Mind of the One, whom He has been with from the beginning...This Word is Light, and He is the Light of all mankind...This Light is the goodness of man...And this warm Light is felt and is good...
Life is a story...How sad the story would be without Him...He knows all things...Through Him all things are made...From the most perfect sunset, to the meanest and most destructive man on earth...Since He knows all things and through Him all things are made, He has the unarguable resume to help man...He is the One perfectly qualified to judge man and bring us salvation...Even though there is sin and sadness in this world, His presence shows us the good part of man's story...His becoming a Man shows us the goodness God has put in all men...His Presence and the Presence of His Goodness gives us hope...
Besides hope, the Word gives us purpose...To believe in the Word, is to believe in morality...If we are her only by randomness, there is no Authority or God...There is no right or wrong...Why would you believe in good and evil or right or wrong, if we are here randomly or by accident?...The Word teaches the Light...The Word teaches love and goodness...If we are here by accident, then what purpose is there, and there is no morality...If there is no God, then if all you do is evil while you are on earth, what does it matter...But the Word teaches us morality and goodness...The Word teaches us about the eternities, our eternal soul, the most important part of life...
This eternal Word is the True Light...The Word is everything...The Word was with God...The Word helps us understand some of the important things about God...This is because the Word is God... May we learn from our faith in the Word, learn some wisdom from the One who sent Him...The Word teaches Love...These things He teaches are attributes of His Father...We will know more about the Father, the more we study the Word...
