John 1:1-14
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
6 There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....God's Word is Truth...Jesus was with God in the beginning...And through Jesus all things are made; without Him nothing was made that has been made...In Him is life, and that life is the Light of men and the Way of man, and the Truth of man...The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it...And the Light shines in Truth...
Jesus is in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him, when He arrived on earth from Heaven...He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him...Yet, to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave them the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God...The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among man...The Disciples and all who met Him saw His glory, the Glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of Grace and Truth....
Jesus has no greater joy than to hear that those who follow Him walk in truth...And as He walked the earth He knows that God's Word is Truth, spoke the Truth, and wanted His children to follow Him in Truth...He told His Disciples that He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life...So as He traveled from village and village speaking the Truth, He testified to the Truth...He spoke the Truth of all so His followers would be set free...And if Jesus' teachings are followed they shall make you free, and you shall be free indeed...With everyone watching and hearing Him, with lovingkindness in His heart: and He walked in God's Truth...For the Word of the LORD is right; and all His works are done in Truth...For Jesus knows that those who walk in the Light, speak the Truth, and do righteousness- speak the truth in their hearts...
And Jesus would die on the cross...And so into His Father's hand He committed His Spirit: and God redeemed and raised Him, O LORD God of Truth...
