Genesis 1:1
God Creates the Living Creatures
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
John 1:1-5
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
In the beginning when God created the heavens and earth, people thought a lot about God, but not so much about science...And years later, I believe, when Jesus walked among us that science and theology and intellect were more merged together in the way the people thought and the way they viewed the heavens and the earth...So this merger of science and faith when it came to believing in God was something more natural years ago than it is today...So faith in God and His Son was a more natural thing to do in our past history...
Over the years science has taken a more prominent role in man's world and maybe at one time had more or less divorced itself from theology and faith...It was like science at one point in our modern history said, we have this new theory of evolution and it is separate from God...And later science, at least to me, said science said that we have came upon a theory we will call the Big Bang Theory and that will be how we perceive the beginning of the universe, without taking into account God or the Bible...
If God created all things, then He created our world and He created science...Science and theology for believers is linked together closely...
Now I think more scientists are seeing the Great Design in the universe and more are seeing the universe as having a need for a Great Designer to help understand how things came into being and how the universe is made...So as man progresses into time, I hope, we will see the necessity of science and God as partners...After all, God created the universe with mathematics, physics, and science...And through Jesus all things were made...So since God created the heavens and earth, then modern man must see God and Jesus and Their Creation being now a part of their new discoveries...But at the present moment, that is not the case, and in many situations theology and science are not meeting together with their ideas, even though, I believe they are much related that came from a Father and a Son...
