The Mystery and Purpose of Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
John 8:31-32
The Truth Shall Set You Free
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Being aware of God, one might think would be an easy thing...But He seems to do what He does subtly and gently, and maybe in indirect ways...Since God created all things and all things are made through His Son, then we should be able to see Them...At least see them in the things that They created...After all, all the things that are around us, as we walk outside and see the trees, grass, the sky, the sun, the stars, and nature -everything was created by God's Word and His speaking...
So God has shown us many things that He has made, as we look around the earth and the heavens...And the heavens declare His glory...Nature calls His name...He has shown us all these many things, because He is the One who created them...And God makes us aware of Himself by these many things He has made..If we look and believe in Him, then we can see Him through creation...So believers can see Him, as we look around at the heavens and the earth, and we can be aware of Him through what He has created...
Since God is LOVE, He wants us to be aware of Him...We can also believe that creation was created out of LOVE, since He is LOVE...So we should be able to see Him in the world through the kind, gentle, and loving things around us...Since He is LOVE, we should see Him through our loves...We can see Him in the loves we have and the things we love in our lives...
And while we might read about Him each day, sensing these things and Him around us is another thing...Believers, can often sense Him through these things of nature that He has made...And somehow in all these things that have been created, one can sense a Knowledge of Him...We can sense that there is Something that happened to make this beauty of nature and the heavens...There is Something Divine in this Divine Design that He created...Others may see it in the order and design of the universe...
If one believes that the universe is beautiful and it would take One With Infinite Knowledge to make such a universe -then they can understand Paul saying -that since what may be known about God is plain for them to see, because God has made creation plain to them...For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and His divine nature—have been clearly seen, and being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse in not believing in Him...Paul truly believed that the heavens and creation (as a matter of fact) declare His Glory...
God Himself made us aware of Himself through His Son...His Son is also another sign of His Great LOVE...God has shown us a continuing part of His Plan...We should praise God and our Father for our LORD Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ...For He chose Jesus in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight...In LOVE He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will— to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He LOVES...In Him we have redemption through His blood, and the forgiveness of our sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us...With all His wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ...
God has a Plan...His Plan continues on...Through the Revelation of God's Plan of Truth, He has sent us Truth to walk the earth and to be with us...And this revelation is Absolute Truth, and when believed will set us free...
