John 1:1-5
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Matthew 9:35
Jesus Went from Village to Village Teaching People
35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
Matthew 11:19
Wisdom is proved Right by Her Deeds
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."
John 14:1-7
Jesus Asks His Disciples to Believe in Him and His Father
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
When Jesus taught His Disciples, part of what He was teaching, if not most of what He taught, was about God and also much about Himself...Jesus knew more about God than any other Man who has ever lived...And He taught all those that He met about God and that He had came from God, even in the beginning...And also He taught about Himself by His deeds and His wisdom...For much can be learned about Someone by listening to what they are saying and watching them go about their day and watching their daily actions and their deeds...
So as Jesus went around to the various villages teaching people, we learn much about Him...Jesus taught us about being human and human nature, because He was a Man and was Human...And we see from Him the potential we have as being human, as we strive to follow Him and be like Him...I still like the idea and the question of "What would Jesus Do?", when trouble is coming or we are in a troubled time or times...Because being like Him is a positive and a comfort and a help, even though things don't always go as we plan or go like we would like even as we pray...But knowing Jesus and having a relationship with Him, is still in itself a comfort...Because, if all humans were like Him, there would be less and less problems, and maybe even very, very few problems in the world if we were all like Him...He is our Great Example of being human, and what we can be...
So we learn about God and Jesus by what Jesus said and what He did...He teaches us that we need a relationship with Him and God, and we do this by believing and trusting in both of Them...And when we trust in the Father and the Son, we see that our capacity in all our human relationships can only be reached when we do believe in and trust in both Him and His Father...
