Quran 8:0 Koran 8:0 Verse 8:0 Ayah 8:0 Ayat 8:0 Aya 8:0 In the name of Allah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful.

Quran 8:1 Koran 8:1 Verse 8:1 Ayah 8:1 Ayat 8:1 Aya 8:1 They (the believers of Yathrib Arabia later Medina Arabia today Madinah Saudi Arabia who defeated the stone idol worshippers sent from Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia to the water well at Badr, south of Yathrib) ask you (Prophet Muhammad) about (the things taken from those who were defeated in the field of battle, things called) the spoils of war (also called booty). Say (to the believers), “The spoils of war belong to Allah (who places them where Allah wills) and the messenger (of Allah who divides the spoils of war according to Allah’s command) so keep your duty to Allah, reconcile your differences in this matter, and obey Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger, if you are believers (in Allah).”

Comment 1. Those who do not understand that the Quran has verses of history that include history about fighting translate the Quran as if those commands are for me and you to fight today.

No those are not commands for me and you to fight today.

They are commands given by Allah to Prophet Muhammad addressed to those people who lived in the time of the prophet 1400 years ago.

We need to know that the verses about fighting are connected to issues that occurred in history.

See Quran 9:5 comment in Quran chapter 9.

Quran 8:2 Koran 8:2 Verse 8:2 Ayah 8:2 Ayat 8:2 Aya 8:2 The believers are only those whose hearts feel fear when Allah is mentioned and when His (Allah’s) revelations are recited to them they increase their faith and they are those who trust in their Lord (Allah), – (Continued Quran 8:3).

Quran 8:3 Koran 8:3 Verse 8:3 Ayah 8:3 Ayat 8:3 Aya 8:3 – And who establish regular prayers and spend (as charity) from that We (Allah) have given to them.

Quran 8:4 Koran 8:4 Verse 8:4 Ayah 8:4 Ayat 8:4 Aya 8:4 Those are the true believers. For them are grades (of honour or degree or rank in Paradise) with their Lord (Allah) and forgiveness and abundant provision.

Quran 8:5 Koran 8:5 Verse 8:5 Ayah 8:5 Ayat 8:5 Aya 8:5 (The dislike of the news that the spoils of war belong to Allah who places them where Allah wills and belong to the messenger of Allah who divides them according to Allah’s command) is just like when your Lord (Allah) caused you (Prophet Muhammad) to go from your home with the Truth (from Allah to fight at the battle of Badr against the persecution of the believers in Allah by the stone idol worshippers of Mecca) while a party of the believers were unwilling (to fight the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Arabia today in Makkah Saudi Arabia).

Comment 1. The battle of Badr was on the 17 Ramadan 2 AH, 17 March 624 CE, 17 March 624 AD.

In the battle of Badr the stone idol worshippers were sent from Mecca to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib Arabia later known as Medina Arabia today in Madinah Saudi Arabia).

Comment 2. The battle of Badr was the first large scale battle between the stone idol worshipers of Mecca and the believers of Allah from Yathrib.

Comment 3.

Quran 8:6 Koran 8:6 Verse 8:6 Ayah 8:6 Ayat 8:6 Aya 8:6 Disputing with you (Prophet Muhammad) about the Truth (of Allah’s command) after it had been made clear (to them) as if they were being pushed towards a death that they could see (was coming to them).

Quran 8:7 Koran 8:7 Verse 8:7 Ayah 8:7 Ayat 8:7 Aya 8:7 And when Allah promised you one of the two groups (either the caravan of merchandise that was coming from Syria to Mecca or the fighters coming from Mecca) you (the believers) wished that the unarmed (caravan of merchandise) might be yours. (But) Allah desired to show the truth of what He (Allah) had said by His (Allah’s) words and to defeat the disbelievers (the armed stone idol worshipping fighters coming from Mecca). –

See Quran 9:5 comment in Quran chapter 9.

Quran 8:8 Koran 8:8 Verse 8:8 Ayah 8:8 Ayat 8:8 Aya 8:8 – So that He (Allah) might make clear the truth and show what was false, even if the guilty (the wrongdoers among the believers) disliked it.

Comment 1. Allah commanded that the believers of Allah in Yathrib fight against the armed stone idol worshipping fighters coming from Mecca instead of fighting the lightly defended caravan of merchandise to show the believers that they could defeat the stone idol fighters from Mecca.

Quran 8:9 Koran 8:9 Verse 8:9 Ayah 8:9 Ayat 8:9 Aya 8:9 When you (Prophet Muhammad) asked for the help of your Lord (Allah), He (Allah) answered you (saying), “I (Allah) shall help you with a thousand from the angels one after another (in rows, each row containing one thousand angels sent from heaven to fight with you in the battle of Badr).”

Comment 1. All help comes from Allah.

Allah only gave the news that Allah shall help you with a thousand of the angels one after another in rows, each row containing one thousand angels as good news and so that your hearts might be at rest (Quran 8:10).

Quran 3:13 Verse 3:13 There has already been a sign (from Allah) for you in the two armies that met (the Muslims of Yathrib Arabia today Medina Madinah Saudi Arabia and the Stone worshippers of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia, in the battle of Badr where) one was fighting in the cause of Allah and the other had no faith (in Allah). They (who had faith) saw with their own eyes that those (without faith) appeared to be fewer in number but they were really much larger in number. Allah supports with His (Allah’s) victory whom He (Allah) pleases. Surely, in this is a lesson for those who have eyes to see (and understand). (See Quran 8:44)

Quran 8:44 Verse 8:44 And (remember) when you met (the Stone idol worshipper’s army that had no faith in Allah on the Day of the battle of Badr), He (Allah) showed them to you as few in your eyes and He (Allah) made you appear as few in their eyes (so that both armies were not afraid of each other and they would continue with what each intended to do), so that Allah might accomplish what had been decreed (by Allah to test your faith in Allah). All things are decided by Allah..

1000 angels and 3000 angels and 5000 angels in the Koran.

1000 angels and 3000 angels and 5000 angels in the Quran.

Quran 3:123 Verse 3:123 Allah had given you victory at (the battle of) Badr (on the 17 Ramadan 2 AH, 17 March 624 CE, 17 March 624 AD), when you were helpless. So fear and obey Allah so that you might be grateful (for Allah’s favour to you).

Quran 3:124 Verse 3:124 (Remember) when you (Prophet Muhammad) said to the faithful, "Is it not enough for you that your Lord (Allah) should help you with three thousand angels (that Allah specially) sent down (from heaven to assist you in the battle of Badr)?"

Note 1. The Angels from heaven at the battle of Badr.

Quran 8:9 Verse 8:9 When you (Prophet Muhammad) asked for the help of your Lord (Allah), He (Allah) answered you (saying), “I (Allah) shall help you with a thousand from the angels one after another (in rows, each row containing one thousand angels sent from heaven to fight with you in the battle of Badr).”

Note 1. Allah only gave the news that Allah shall help you with a thousand of the angels one after another in rows, each row containing one thousand angels as good news and so that your hearts might be at rest (Quran 8:10).

Quran 3:125 Verse 3:125 "If you are steadfast and on your guard and even if the enemy (the Stone idol worshippers from Makkah) comes rushing at you your Lord (Allah) shall help you (not with three thousand angels but) with five thousand angels (who shall be) identified by the marks (described in Quran 8:12 that the angels shall inflict on the bodies of the enemy in the battlefield)."

Note 1. Allah only gave the news that Allah shall help you with a thousand of the angels one after another in rows, each row containing one thousand angels as good news and so that your hearts might be at rest (Quran 8:10).

Comment 3.

Quran 8:10 Koran 8:10 Verse 8:10 Ayah 8:10 Ayat 8:10 Aya 8:10 Allah only gave it (the news that Allah shall help you with a thousand of the angels one after another in rows, each row containing one thousand angels) as good news and so that your hearts might be at rest. Victory only comes from the help of Allah. Allah is mighty and wise.

Comment 1. Angels who are under Allah’s command bring confidence to the heart of those who believe in Allah.

Quran 8:11 Koran 8:11 Verse 8:11 Ayah 8:11 Ayat 8:11 Aya 8:11 (Remember the night before the battle of Badr) when He (Allah) made you sleepy so that calm was on you as a reassurance from Him (Allah) and He (Allah) sent down water from the sky on you to clean you (of your sins) and (Allah) removed the evil (whispers) of Satan Shaitan from you and made your hearts strong and (your) feet firm.

Comment 1. All help comes from Allah.

Quran 8:12 Koran 8:12 Verse 8:12 Ayah 8:12 Ayat 8:12 Aya 8:12 When your Lord (Allah) inspired the angels, (saying to them), “I (Allah) am with you (Allah’s Angels) so make those who believe (of the humans) stand firm. I (Allah) shall throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve (among the stone idol worshippers that were sent from Mecca to Yathrib to oppose Allah and His messenger) so strike them (the stone idol worshippers, with hot rods) on the necks and on each fingertip.” – (Continued Quran 8:13)

Comment 1. Angels who are under Allah’s command bring confidence to the heart of those who believe in Allah.

Deuteronomy 11:25 There shall no man able to stand against you (the children of Israel), the LORD your Allah shall lay the fear of you (the children of Israel) and the dread of you (the children of Israel) in all the land that you shall tread, as He has spoken to you.

Comment 2. Evidence of angels on the battlefield.

Quran 8:12 Verse 8:12 When your Lord (Allah) inspired the angels, (saying to them), “I (Allah) am with you (Allah’s Angels) so make those who believe (of the humans) stand firm. I (Allah) shall throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve (among the stone idol worshippers that were sent from Mecca to Yathrib to oppose Allah and His messenger) so strike them (the stone idol worshippers, with hot rods) on the necks and on each fingertip.”

Note 1.

Comment 3. Why did Prophet Muhammad flee Mecca?

Why did Prophet Muhammad flee Makkah?

Before the revelation of Quran 8:12 Prophet Muhammad escaped the assassination plot of the stone idol worshippers by secretly leaving his home at night in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia and finding safety in Yathrib, Arabia later Medina Arabia today Madinah Saudi Arabia. Later the stone idol worshippers from Mecca travelled towards Yathrib and the first small fights resulted.

Comment 4. The believers of Allah fled their homes in Mecca Makkah Arabia because of religious persecution and established new homes in the safety of Yathrib later called Medina Madinah. The believers of Allah in Yathrib talked about taking a Meccan caravan that was travelling with merchandise from Syria to Mecca Makkah. But instead of that Allah made Allah’s believers meet the fighters from Mecca Makkah that had been sent to protect the caravan. Those Meccan fighters had been ordered back to Mecca Makkah when the caravan was safe but the leader from Mecca Makkah was determined to continue to Yathrib. This would be the first large scale battle involving the believers of Allah in what is called the battle of Badr.

Comment 5. Allah instructed Allah’s angels to intercede in the battle of Badr on the side of the believers of Allah to punish the stone idol worshippers. Angels who are under Allah’s command bring confidence to the heart of those who believe in Allah.

Comment 6. Quran 8:12 describes the punishment and the favours from Allah through Allah’s Angels at the battle of Badr.

Comment 7.

Quran 8:13 Koran 8:13 Verse 8:13 Ayah 8:13 Ayat 8:13 Aya 8:13 That is because they (the stone idol worshippers sent from Mecca Makkah to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib) opposed Allah and Allah’s messenger. Whoever opposes Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger, (shall find that) Allah is severe in punishment.

Quran 8:14 Koran 8:14 Verse 8:14 Ayah 8:14 Ayat 8:14 Aya 8:14 So (during the battle of Badr, the Angels sent by Allah were said to have used a hot rod to hit the stone idol fighters from Mecca Makkah, saying), “This is the punishment of fire (that is waiting in Hell) for those who oppose Allah.”

Quran 8:15 Koran 8:15 Verse 8:15 Ayah 8:15 Ayat 8:15 Aya 8:15 All you who believe (in Allah), when you meet those who disbelieve (the stone idol worshippers sent from Mecca Makkah to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib) marching in battle, do not turn your backs to them (meaning, do not run away).”

See Quran 9:5 comment in Quran chapter 9.

Quran 8:16 Koran 8:16 Verse 8:16 Ayah 8:16 Ayat 8:16 Aya 8:16 Whoever on the day (of battle) turns their back to them (the stone idol worshippers sent from Mecca Makkah to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib), unless maneuvering for battle or unless to join a company then that person has incurred the wrath from Allah (meaning, the anger from Allah), and their habitation shall be Hell (Fire in the Hereafter which is), an evil destination.

Quran 8:17 Koran 8:17 Verse 8:17 Ayah 8:17 Ayat 8:17 Aya 8:17 (At the battle of Badr) you (believers) did not kill them, but (it was) Allah who killed them (the stone idol worshippers who had been sent from Mecca Makkah to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib). And you (Prophet Muhammad) did not throw when you threw (the hand full of sand that briefly blinded the fighters of the stone idol worshippers) but it was Allah who threw so that He (Allah) might test the believers in a good test from Him (Allah, so that the believers might be thankful for Allah’s favour to them). Allah is all hearing and all knowing.

Quran 8:18 Koran 8:18 Verse 8:18 Ayah 8:18 Ayat 8:18 Aya 8:18 So know that it is Allah who makes weak the plan of the disbelievers (the stone idol worshippers sent from Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia to fight the believers of Allah in Yathrib Arabia later Medina Arabia today Madinah Saudi Arabia).

Quran 8:19 Koran 8:19 Verse 8:19 Ayah 8:19 Ayat 8:19 Aya 8:19 If you (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) looked for a judgment (from Allah in whom you disbelieve), now the judgment has come to you (by your defeat at the battle of Badr). If you stop (persecuting the believers of Allah) it shall be better for you (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) but if you return (to fight, then) We (Allah) shall also return (to fight). Your forces shall be of no help to you no matter how many it may be. Know that Allah is with those that believe (in Allah’s Guidance).

Quran 8:20 Koran 8:20 Verse 8:20 Ayah 8:20 Ayat 8:20 Aya 8:20 All you who believe (in Allah), Obey Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger and do not turn away from him when you hear (Allah’s messenger speak).

Quran 8:21 Koran 8:21 Verse 8:21 Ayah 8:21 Ayat 8:21 Aya 8:21 Do not be like those (hypocrites) who say, “we hear but they do not hear.”

Comment 1. A hypocrite will say one thing but believes in another thing.

Quran 8:22 Koran 8:22 Verse 8:22 Ayah 8:22 Ayat 8:22 Aya 8:22 The worst of creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf (those that do not listen to Allah and Allah’s messenger with understanding) and the dumb (those that do not speak with understanding about Allah and Allah’s messenger and) who do not use reasoning (which is the gift given to humans and jinn by Allah).

Quran 8:23 Koran 8:23 Verse 8:23 Ayah 8:23 Ayat 8:23 Aya 8:23 Had Allah known that there was any good (meaning, any righteousness) in them then He (Allah) would have made them hear (so that they understood the truth) but had He (Allah) made them hear they would have turned away, in dislike (of what they heard, in denial of the truth).

Quran 8:24 Koran 8:24 Verse 8:24 Ayah 8:24 Ayat 8:24 Aya 8:24 All you who believe (in Allah), Obey Allah and the messenger when he (Prophet Muhammad) calls you to that which gives you life (which is Allah your creator), and know that Allah comes between a person and their heart (meaning that what Allah calls you to do can be different to what you might want to do), and that it is to Him (Allah) to whom you shall be gathered (on the day of Judgement).

Quran 8:25 Koran 8:25 Verse 8:25 Ayah 8:25 Ayat 8:25 Aya 8:25 And fear the trial (test) that affects everyone (in a human community), not only the wrong-doers (but also the righteous) and know that Allah is severe in punishment.

Comment 1. Can a trial that effects everyone be avoided?

It has been said that the way to avoid such a trial is to stand against the evil that would cause such a trial to fall on everyone.

One example is shown in the different results that came by either supporting or opposing the evil of treachery against the prophet of Allah in Yathrib.

In Yathrib lived both the Muslim community and several Jewish tribes.

The different Jewish tribes in Yathrib were not united in defending all the people in Yathrib whenever the town was threatened by the forces of the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah.

Time after time, one Jewish tribe and later another one and later still another one showed treachery towards the safety of Yathrib by changing their support from the Muslims in Yathrib and supporting the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah.

Each Jewish tribe in Yathrib acted in its own interest.

The Jewish tribes in Yathrib were unable to cut their long existing social and economic relationship with the idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah even though they saw the punishment that was resulting as Jewish tribe after Jewish tribe was being punished each time they betrayed the security of Yathrib by their support of the idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah.

The result was a trial that fell on everyone both the good people and the bad people that would finally result after the death of Prophet Muhammad in the expulsion of the Jewish people from Arabia today Saudi Arabia.

Quran 8:61 Verse 8:61 And if they (the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza, the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) incline to peace, then you also incline to peace and trust in Allah. He (Allah) is the (all) hearing and the (all) knowing.

Note 1. Had one Jewish tribe in Yathrib respected their relationship with the Muslim community and protected the security and defence of Yathrib above their relationship with the stone idol worshippers then a different history would have been written as is indicated in Quran 8:61.

See Quran 8:56 comments and 8:61 comments.

1b. The history of Muslims and Jews in Yathrib Arabia and the stone idol worshippers in Makkah.

Prophet Muhammad brought the laws of Allah into focus with new Muslims whose main concern was Allah and doing what was legally correct while the Jewish tribes were more attached to their old relationship with the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah.

The different Jewish tribes in Yathrib had long existed in a social and economic relation with the idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah before the arrival of Prophet Muhammad.

The Muslims of Yathrib had trusted the Jews in Yathrib as brothers in the religion of Allah however the different Jewish tribes in Yathrib were unable to make their belief in Allah and their relationship with the new Muslim believers more important than their old social and economic ties with the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah who had long been their source of customers and wealth and relationship.

The failure of lenient punishment on Jewish tribes was a lesson to Prophet Muhammad that can be understood in the following revelations:

Quran 8:27 Verse 8:27 All you who believe, Do not be disloyal to Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger, nor knowingly betray the trusts (in religion) that have been given to you (while you know the consequences of such betrayal).

Quran 8:56 Verse 8:56 The ones (the different tribes of Jews in Yathrib) with whom you make a treaty (of mutual support and protection for both the Muslims and the Jews of Yathrib) and they (the Jews of Yathrib) break the treaty every time and they have no fear (of Allah in their treachery).

Quran 8:57 Verse 8:57 If you meet them (those who break their treaties) in war, then deal with them (those who have broken the treaty) so that others shall remember and be deterred from following them (meaning, so that others are deterred from breaking their agreements with you).

Quran 8:58 Verse 8:58 And if you fear treachery from any people then be fair (be just) to them by telling them that they have broken the treaty (so there is no treaty between you). Allah does not love those that are treacherous (meaning Allah does not love those that do not keep their word, their promises, their agreements and their treaty).

Note 1. Allah does not love the people who do not keep their promises.

Quran 8:71 But if they intend to betray you (Prophet Muhammad) then (know that) they already betrayed Allah before. So He (Allah) gave (you, Prophet Muhammad) power over them. Allah is all knowing and all wise).

Note 1. Those who betrayed or were disloyal to Prophet Muhammad had betrayed Allah by deserting their belief in Allah.

1c. Why did Allah forgive the Children of Israel for breaking their covenant with Allah?

Allah forgives humans.

Quran 5:71 Verse 5:71 They (the Children of Israel) thought there would be no punishment (for breaking the covenant with Allah by not heeding, listening, believing, and accepting Allah’s messengers such as Prophet Jesus Isa who called for righteousness and forbade evil) so they became blind and deaf (to their agreement with Allah) and afterward Allah turned (in mercy) and forgave them (the Children of Israel because a new generation does not carry the sin of past generations and because no person carries the sin that was committed by another person). Now many of them (the Children of Israel who are the Jews of Yathrib Arabia) are again blind and deaf (to their agreement with Allah by not heeding, listening, believing, and accepting Allah’s message through Prophet Muhammad to do what is good and reject what is bad). Allah sees what they do.

Note 1. Allah is the most merciful and the most forgiving.

Note 2. Whenever the children of Israel repented Allah forgave them because Allah is the most merciful and the most forgiving.

Note 3. Sins from evil deeds that were done by earlier generations is not passed on to the souls of a new generation of the children of Israel.

Note 4. Sins from evil deeds that were done by earlier generations is not passed on to the souls of a new generation of humans.

1d. Why did Allah order Muslims to forgive the Children of Israel?

Humans who forgive humans follow in the way of Allah.

Quran 5:13 Verse 5:13 "... You shall not cease to discover treachery from them (dishonesty from their words) except for a few of them (who are honest in their word). Even though they (many among the Jews of Arabia) do that (treachery against you), (you should) pardon (forgive) their bad deeds and forgive them (like you would like Allah to pardon your bad deeds and forgive you in the hereafter). Allah loves those who do good (deeds to other people).

Note 1. Allah is the most merciful and the most forgiving.

Note 2. Allah teaches humans to follow the example of Allah to be merciful and forgiving.

Allah teaches humans to follow the way of Allah to be merciful and forgiving.

Allah teaches humans to follow the path of Allah to be merciful and forgiving.

Allah teaches humans to follow the cause of Allah to be merciful and forgiving.

1e. Why are the children of Israel of today innocent of the sins of past generations of the children of Israel?

Why are the Jews of today innocent of the sins of past Jewish generations?

Why are the Christians of today innocent of the sins of past Christian generations?

Why are the Muslims of today innocent of the sins of past Muslim generations?

Why are the people of today innocent of the sins of the people of past generations?

Quran 6:164 Verse 6:164 Say, “Shall I (Prophet Muhammad) seek someone other than Allah for (my) Lord, when He (Allah) is Lord of all things? Each soul earns no blame (for sin) except against itself and no bearer (of the blame of sin) shall bear the burden (of the blame of sin) of another (soul). Then (in the hereafter) to your Lord (Allah) you shall return and He (Allah) shall tell you about what you used to dispute (among each other regarding religion).

Note 1. Each soul earns the sins that are made by the person that possesses it. A soul does not earn any sin that is made by another person (Quran 6:164).

Quran 8:26 Koran 8:26 Verse 8:26 Ayah 8:26 Ayat 8:26 Aya 8:26 And remember when there were few of you (who believed in Allah) and you were oppressed in the land (in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) and you were in fear in case people (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca) might take you (by force because of your belief in Allah) and how He (Allah) gave you (safe) refuge and strengthened you with His (Allah’s) help, and gave you good things to sustain you so that you might be thankful.

Comment 1. The persecution of Muslims in Mecca Makkah because of their religion.

The persecution of Muslims in Mecca Makkah because of their belief in Allah.

Quran 8:27 Koran 8:27 Verse 8:27 Ayah 8:27 Ayat 8:27 Aya 8:27 All you who believe, Do not be disloyal to Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger, nor knowingly betray the trusts (in religion) that have been given to you (while you know the consequences of such betrayal).

Comment 1.  Relations between Muslims, Christians, Jews and stone idol worshippers.

Quran 5:51 Verse 5:51 All you (the Muslims of Yathrib) who believe, do not take the Jews (meaning those who are hypocrites among the Jews of Yathrib and Khyber and Fadak and Wadi-ul-Qura in Arabia today in Saudi Arabia) and Christians (meaning those who are hypocrites among the Christians of Yathrib such as the priest Abu Amir ar- Rahib in Yathrib Arabia) as guardians (with whom you can confide and trust like a close friend). Some among them are guardians (and confidants) to some others (meaning some among the Jews in Yathrib who are hypocrites pass on what you say to the stone idol worshippers in Makkah who fight against Muslims and some among the Christians who are hypocrites such as Abu Amir ar- Rahib in Yathrib are asking the Eastern Roman Empire Christian Byzantine Army to fight Prophet Muhammad in Arabia. Prophet Muhammad would lead a Muslim force to stop the Byzantine Army at Tabouk, Arabia but the Byzantine Army was not found in Tabouk. However that warning prepared the Muslims to secure their presence in Arabia). Whoever among you takes them for guardians (and confidants) will eventually become one of them (misbehaving people). Allah does not (correctly) guide the wrong doers.

Quran 5:57 Verse 5:57 All you (Muslims) who have faith (in Allah), do not take as allies (with whom you can confide and trust like a close friend) those who mock and make fun of your religion from among those who received the Scripture before you (the Jews of Yathrib and the Christians) and from among those who disbelieve (in Allah, such as the stone idol worshippers in Arabia); and fear Allah if you truly believe.

Note 1. Quran 5:57 applies to those who are disrespectful among the Jews and Christians and stone idol worshippers.

Note 2. Quran 5:57 does not apply to those who are sincere and respectful among the Jews and Christians and stone idol worshippers.

1400 years ago Muslims made peace treaties with Jews and Christians and stone idol worshippers.

Quran 8:28 Koran 8:28 Verse 8:28 Ayah 8:28 Ayat 8:28 Aya 8:28 And know that (all) your possessions and your children are a test (from Allah that distract you from the concerns of the Hereafter) and that with Allah is a great reward (in the Hereafter, so do not become a loser in the Hereafter by forgetting your duty to Allah and using evil ways to preserve your wealth and your children).

Quran 8:29 Koran 8:29 Verse 8:29 Ayah 8:29 Ayat 8:29 Aya 8:29 All you who believe, If you fear Allah, He (Allah) shall grant you a criterion (of right and wrong. See Quran 3:3-3:4, Quran 2:53 and Quran 21:48) and (in the Hereafter, Allah) shall remove your bad deeds and forgive you (of your sins). Allah is the Lord of great bounty.

Comment 1.  The way of Allah teaches humans to forgive humans.

The path of Allah teaches humans to forgive humans.

The cause of Allah teaches humans to forgive humans.

Quran 8:30 Koran 8:30 Verse 8:30 Ayah 8:30 Ayat 8:30 Aya 8:30 Remember when those who disbelieved (in Allah) plotted (at the meeting of the chiefs in the idol worshipper council in Mecca Makkah) against you (Prophet Muhammad, about whether) to restrain you or to kill you or to evict you (from Mecca Makkah), they made (their) plans but Allah also planed (by commanding you Prophet Muhammad to leave Mecca Makkah) and Allah is the best of planners.

Comment 1. Why did Prophet Muhammad flee Mecca?

Why did Prophet Muhammad flee Makkah?

Those among the believers of Allah who had the ability to leave their homes in Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia did so because of religious persecution and they established new homes in the safety of Yathrib later called Medina Arabia today Madinah Saudi Arabia.

Prophet Muhammad escaped the assassination plot of the stone idol worshippers by secretly leaving his home at night in Mecca Arabia and finding safety in Yathrib, Arabia.

Quran 8:30 reveals why Prophet Muhammad had to leave his home in Mecca Arabia to find safety in Yathrib Arabia.

Quran 3:54 Verse 3:54 And they (those who disbelieved Prophet Jesus Isa) plotted (to kill Prophet Jesus Isa) but Allah also (had Allah’s) plan. And Allah is the best of the planners.

Quran 8:30 Verse 8:30 Remember when those who disbelieved (in Allah) plotted (at the meeting of the chiefs in the idol worshipper council in Mecca Makkah) against you (Prophet Muhammad, about whether) to restrain you or to kill you or to evict you (from Mecca Makkah), they made (their) plans but Allah also planed (by commanding you Prophet Muhammad to leave Mecca Makkah) and Allah is the best of planners.

Note 1. Did Jesus Isa die on the cross or not?

See Quran 4:157 and Quran 4:158 comments in Quran chapter 4.

Quran 8:31 Koran 8:31 Verse 8:31 Ayah 8:31 Ayat 8:31 Aya 8:31 And when Our (Allah’s) revelations are recited to them (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah) they say, “We have heard (this before) and if we wished we could speak like you speak, this is nothing but the stories from people from the past.”

Comment 1. How could the stone idol worshippers have already heard the stories of the Quran?

Quran 26:196 Verse 26:196 It (the revelations from Allah in the Quran) is (also) in the Scriptures of the people of the past (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil).

Quran 41:43 Verse 41:43 Nothing is said (by Allah) to you (Prophet Muhammad) except what has already been said to the messengers before you. Your Lord (Allah) is the possessor of forgiveness and severe punishment.

Comment 2. The Quran confirms the Torah Taurat and explains the story of Jesus in the Gospel Injil.

A. Prophet Muhammad in the Torah Taurat and Gospel Injil.

See Quran 7:157 comments in Quran chapter 7.

B. Every prophet of God is “the Word of God made flesh” meaning the word of God comes out of the mouth of every prophet of God in Deuteronomy 18:18.

Quran 8:32 Koran 8:32 Verse 8:32 Ayah 8:32 Ayat 8:32 Aya 8:32 And they (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah) said, “O Allah, If this is the truth from you then rain down stones on us or bring on us some painful punishment.”

Quran 8:33 Koran 8:33 Verse 8:33 Ayah 8:33 Ayat 8:33 Aya 8:33 But Allah would not punish them (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah) while you (Prophet Muhammad) were with them, nor shall He (Allah) punish them while they (might) seek forgiveness.

Comment 1. Why is the life of a disbeliever very important?

The life of a disbeliever is very important because while they have life they have the chance to find correct guidance.

Allah gives every human a life time to discover the meaning of life.

The life of a disbeliever is very important because the disbeliever is given a life time to discover the purpose of life.

Allah forgives every sin including the sin of idol worship if humans ask for Allah’s forgiveness.

In Islam this life is very important because this life determines what shall happen in the hereafter.

Comment 2. In Quran 8:30 – 8:33 Allah is ready to forgive the stone idol worshippers who mocked Prophet Muhammad and those who plotted to kill Prophet Muhammad if they repent and ask Allah for forgiveness.

Quran 8:33 Verse 8:33 But Allah would not punish them (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah) while you (Prophet Muhammad) were with them, nor shall He (Allah) punish them while they (might) seek forgiveness.

Comment 3. The life of every disbeliever is very important because Allah is ready to forgive every human.

Allah is ready to forgive every sin because only those who believe in Allah would ask Allah for forgiveness.

When you ask Allah for forgiveness it is a sign of belief in Allah.

Comment 4. Love the disbelievers because Allah is ready to forgive them.

No one can forgive without love in their heart.

Love in the heart removes hate from the heart and the result is forgiveness.

Allah loves those who do good deeds to other people (Quran 5:13).

The way of Allah is forgiveness.

The cause of Allah is forgiveness.

The example of Allah is forgiveness.

Righteous are those who forgive.

The way of the Quran is forgiveness.

The cause of the Quran is forgiveness.

The example of the Quran is forgiveness.

The good doers are those who forgive.

The way of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The cause of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The example of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The best of creations are those who forgive.

Allah forgives those who forgive.

Allah rewards those who forgive.

If you pardon what people have done and overlook the faults of people and forgive people then Allah is forgiving and merciful to you (Quran 39:53, Quran 42:43, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Allah forgives you if you forgive others (Quran 39:53, Quran 42:43, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Love your neighbour (Quran 42:43).

Love your enemy (Quran 41:34 – 41:36, Quran 42:43 and Quran 60:7).

Forgive your enemy (Quran 41:34 – 41:36 and Quran 42:43. Allah will forgive even those who mocked Prophet Muhammad and those who plotted to kill Prophet Muhammad if they repent and ask Allah for forgiveness in Quran 8:30 – 8:33).

Forgive your neighbour (Quran 42:43).

Forgive disbelievers (Quran 45:14).

Forgive believers (Quran 49:10).

Forgive Jews (Quran 5:13).

Forgive the killer (Quran 5:45 and Quran 85:10).

Exploding bombs in crowds is forbidden by Allah (Quran 48:25).

Fighting today is not in the cause of Allah (Quran 48:25 comments).

If you pardon what people have done and overlook the faults of people and forgive people then Allah is forgiving and merciful to you (Quran 39:53, Quran 42:43, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Quran 5:8 Verse 5:8 “... do not let (your) hatred of a people make you act unjustly. Act justly, that is nearer to righteousness and fear Allah. Allah is aware of what you do.”

Evil are those people who celebrate the killing of humans when Allah has given all humans a lifetime in which to discover Allah and then to ask Allah to forgive them.

Quran 8:33 Verse 8:33 But Allah would not punish them (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah) while you (Prophet Muhammad) were with them, nor shall He (Allah) punish them while they (might) seek forgiveness.

Comment 5. What is the purpose of life?

See Quran 44:38 comments in Quran chapter 44.

Quran 8:34 Koran 8:34 Verse 8:34 Ayah 8:34 Ayat 8:34 Aya 8:34 What for them (is the reason) that Allah should not punish them (the stone idol worshippers of Makkah) when they hinder (the believers of Allah) from the Sacred Mosque (“Sacred Mosque” is l-masjidi l-harami, Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, the Kabah in Makkah), while they (the stone idol worshippers of Makkah) are not its (the Kabah’s fitting) guardians. No one can be its (the Kabah’s) guardians except the ones who fear Allah. But most of them (the stone idol worshippers of Makkah) do not know (this).

Comment 1. Quran 8:34 describes how prohibiting the Muslims access to their place of worship at the Kabah in Mecca Arabia today in Makkah Saudi Arabia was a source of conflict between the Muslims and the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah.

The Kabah was used by the stone idol worshippers for stone idol worship.

Quran 8:35 Koran 8:35 Verse 8:35 Ayah 8:35 Ayat 8:35 Aya 8:35 And their (the stone idol whorshippers) worship at the House (“the House” is l-bayti meaning the Kabah in Makkah) is nothing but whistling and hand clapping. Therefore (it shall be said to the stone idol worshippers in the Hereafter), “Taste the punishment (in Hell fire) because you disbelieved (in Allah).”

Note 1. Quran 17:60 Verse 17:60 “.... We (Allah) warn (people to do what is good and avoid what is evil) and make them afraid (of Allah by describing the home for evil doers in Hell Fire in the Hereafter) but it only increases them (some of the humans) in nothing but greater disobedience against Allah (and the commandment to do what is good and avoid what is evil).

Quran 8:36 Koran 8:36 Verse 8:36 Ayah 8:36 Ayat 8:36 Aya 8:36 Those (stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) who disbelieve (in Allah) spend their wealth in order that they may prohibit (people) from the path of Allah (by prohibiting access to Allah’s sacred House of worship at the Kabah in Mecca Makkah). They shall spend it (their wealth against Allah) but it shall become a (source of) regret for them (because they shall have spent their wealth without achieving their purpose) and they shall be overcome (defeated). And those who disbelieved shall be gathered together to Hell (in the Hereafter).

Comment 1. Quran 8:36 describes the prohibition by the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah to the worship of Allah.

Quran 8:37 Koran 8:37 Verse 8:37 Ayah 8:37 Ayat 8:37 Aya 8:37 Allah shall separate the wicked (people) from the good and link the wicked (people) together and put them in Hell. Those (wicked people) are the losers (in the Hereafter).

Quran 8:38 Koran 8:38 Verse 8:38 Ayah 8:38 Ayat 8:38 Aya 8:38 Say to those (stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) who disbelieve that if they cease (stone idol worship) than what has happened (when they sinned) in the past shall be forgiven but if they continue (stone idol worship) then they should remember what happened to the people of the past (who worshipped idols in the stories of the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran).

Comment 1. Quran 8:38 is an offer from Allah to forgive what the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah had done in the past if they stop their persecution of the believers of Allah.

Comment 2. Quran 8:38 reminds the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah what happened to the stone idol worshippers of the past who had fought against the believers in Allah.

Comment 3. Why do the Torah and Gospel and Quran contain the stories of the past?

Why do the Taurat and Injil and Quran contain the stories of the past?

Quran 26:196 Verse 26:196 It (the revelations from Allah in the Quran) is (also) in the Scriptures of the people of the past (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil).

Quran 41:43 Verse 41:43 Nothing is said (by Allah) to you (Prophet Muhammad) except what has already been said to the messengers before you. Your Lord (Allah) is the possessor of forgiveness and severe punishment.

See 1. The Torah, Gospel and Quran are from Allah.

https://sites.google.com/view/islamandthequran/allah-protects-the-taurat-injil-and-quran

Quran 8:39 Koran 8:39 Verse 8:39 Ayah 8:39 Ayat 8:39 Aya 8:39 So fight them (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) until the persecution (of Muslims) stops and the religion is all for Allah (so that people are guided to goodness and not guided to the evil of stone idol worship and this mission given 1400 years ago by Allah to Prophet Muhammad was achieved in Makkah and Arabia today Saudi Arabia when the stone idol worshipping authority over the people which had persecuted Muslims was replaced by an authority over the people worshipping Allah without the persecution of Muslims or Non Muslims. This is similar to the commands in the Torah Taurat where Allah guided the children of Israel to replace the authority of stone idol worship in Canaan today in Israel and Palestine with an authority over the people worshipping Allah) but if they (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) stop (fighting), then Allah sees what they do (meaning when they stop fighting you and they offer to make peace then you also must stop fighting and make peace and put your trust in Allah who is your protector. When a people stop fighting against Muslims then Muslims must stop fighting see Quran 2:192 – 2:193).

Comment 1. When fighting stops so that peace can start you must stop fighting and start peace.

Quran 2:191 Verse 2:191 And (you can) kill them (those who fight you in battle) wherever you find them (fighting you) and drive them out from where they drove you out (to reclaim your territory) because to be persecuted (by the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) is worse than being killed (because Allah loves those who defend themselves against the persecution of their religion) but do not fight them at the Holy Mosque inside Makkah unless they fight you there first. If they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) attack you (there first) then you can kill them (there in battle). This is the result for those without faith in Allah (if they fight against Muslims without a just cause).

Quran 2:192 Verse 2:192 But if they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) cease (stop fighting), (then you stop fighting) Allah is most forgiving and Most Merciful.

Note 1. When fighting against the persecution of religion stop fighting when your opponent stops fighting.

Note 2. In war and in peace be forgiving and merciful because that is the example of Allah.

In war and in peace be forgiving and merciful because that is the way of Allah.

Quran 2:193 Verse 2:193 And fight them (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) until there is no more persecution (of Muslims) and the religion is for Allah (so that people are guided to goodness and not guided to the evil of stone idol worship). But if they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) cease (stop fighting) then you stop fighting except against  (continuing) wrongdoers.

Note 1. 1400 years ago Allah established the religion of Islam and removed the persecution against Muslims by the stone idol worshippers in Makkah.

Note 2. When fighting against the persecution of religion stop fighting when your opponent stops fighting.

1400 years ago the stone idol worshippers in Makkah surrendered without a fight to the Muslims of Yathrib.

The Muslims of Yathrib forgave the stone idol worshippers in Makkah except a few who did not want forgiveness and did not ask for forgiveness.

Comment 2. When does Allah not support Muslims?

Quran 2:190 Verse 2:190 And fight in the cause of Allah (the cause of righteousness and not for your own selfish causes) ..."

Quran 2:190 Verse 2:190 "... do not go over the legal limits (that Allah has imposed on you). ..."

Quran 2:190 Verse 2:190 "... Allah does not like people who make actions that He (Allah) has made illegal (it is illegal to kill people who are not fighting such as women and children).

Quran 9.36 Verse 9.36 "... know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves (from going over the legal limits allowed by Allah during war, for example it is illegal to kill people who are not fighting such as women and children).

Note 1. In Islam it is a crime to fight people who refuse to fight you.

Note 2. In Islam it is a crime to fight people who are not fighting you.

Note 3. In Islam it is a crime to fight people who have surrendered to you.

Note 4. In Islam it is a blessing to you when you forgive a person who asks for forgiveness.

Note 5. In Islam it is a blessing to you when you forgive a person who has not asked for forgiveness.

Note 6. In Islam the saving of one life is like saving the whole world in the sight of Allah.

Comment 3.

Quran 8:40 Koran 8:40 Verse 8:40 Ayah 8:40 Ayat 8:40 Aya 8:40 And if they (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah Arabia) turn away (by rejecting Quran 8:38 and continue to persecute Muslims) then know that Allah is your protector, the best protector and the best helper.

Comment 1. Quran 8:40 is about the possibility of the rejection of the forgiveness that is offered by Allah to the stone idol worshippers in Quran 8:38.

Quran 8:38 Verse 8:38 Say to those (stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) who disbelieve that if they stop (persecuting Muslims only because Muslims believe in Allah and not in stone idols) than what has happened in the past shall be forgiven but if they continue (persecuting Muslims only because Muslims believe in Allah and not in stone idols) then they (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah) should remember what happened to the people of the past (generations of stone idol worshippers who fought the believers of Allah as is described in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran).

Quran 8:41 Koran 8:41 Verse 8:41 Ayah 8:41 Ayat 8:41 Aya 8:41 And know that whatever you take as spoils of war (meaning, whatever you get hold of in war), a fifth of it is for Allah and for the messenger (of Allah) and for the near relatives (who are in need) and the orphans and the needy and the traveler (who is in need), if you believe in Allah and what We (Allah) revealed to Our (Allah’s) servant on the Day of the criterion (when Allah told Prophet Muhammad what to do and what not to do), the day when the two armies (the stone idol worshipper Army from Mecca Makkah and the Army of the believers of Allah from Yathrib) met (at the battle of Badr). Allah is able to do all things.

Quran 8:42 Koran 8:42 Verse 8:42 Ayah 8:42 Ayat 8:42 Aya 8:42 Remember (in the battle of Badr) when you were on the near side (of the valley, the side nearest to Yathrib) and they (the forces of the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) were on the other side (of the valley) and their caravan was below you (on the coastal plain). If you had made an appointment to meet each other you would have failed to keep that appointment (because one would have been afraid of the other), but (both your forces met so) that Allah might accomplish a matter that was determined (by Allah) so that those who died (and disbelieved in Allah) might die after evidence (that Allah was supporting the believers from Yathrib against the disbelievers from Mecca Makkah) and those who lived (with faith) might survive after that evidence (of their faith was established). Allah hears and knows (all things).

Quran 8:43 Koran 8:43 Verse 8:43 Ayah 8:43 Ayat 8:43 Aya 8:43 Remember when Allah showed them (the army of the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) to you (Prophet Muhammad) in your dream as few in number? If He (Allah) had shown them (the army of the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) to you as many (in number), then you (the believers of Allah) would have hesitated and you would have argued over the matter (of fighting them). But Allah saved (you from making the wrong decision). He (Allah) knows what is in the heart (meaning, Allah knows what you think and what you feel).

Quran 8:44 Koran 8:44 Verse 8:44 Ayah 8:44 Ayat 8:44 Aya 8:44 And (remember) when you met (the Stone idol worshipper’s army that had no faith in Allah on the Day of the battle of Badr), He (Allah) showed them to you as few in your eyes and He (Allah) made you appear as few in their eyes (so that both armies were not afraid of each other and they would continue with what each intended to do), so that Allah might accomplish what had been decreed (by Allah to test your faith in Allah). All things are decided by Allah..

Note 1. Quran 3:13 Verse 3:13 There has already been a sign (from Allah) for you in the two armies that met (the Muslims of Yathrib Arabia today Medina Madinah Saudi Arabia and the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia, in the battle of Badr where) one was fighting in the cause of Allah and the other had no faith (in Allah). They (who had faith) saw with their own eyes that those (without faith) appeared to be fewer in number but they were really much larger in number. Allah supports with His (Allah’s) victory whom He (Allah) pleases. Surely, in this is a lesson for those who have eyes to see (and understand).

Quran 8:45 Koran 8:45 Verse 8:45 Ayah 8:45 Ayat 8:45 Aya 8:45 All you who believe, When you meet an army (of the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah), hold firm and think greatly of Allah so that you may be successful. – (Continued in Quran 8:46)

Quran 8:46 Koran 8:46 Verse 8:46 Ayah 8:46 Ayat 8:46 Aya 8:46 – And obey Allah and His (Allah’s) messenger, and do not dispute with each another in case you hesitate and your strength (of purpose) departs from you. Be steadfast (meaning be firm in your purpose). Allah is with (those people that are) the steadfast.

Quran 8:47 Koran 8:47 Verse 8:47 Ayah 8:47 Ayat 8:47 Aya 8:47 Do not be like those who came out from their homes (in Mecca Makkah) to fight in the battle of Badr who disobeyed orders from Mecca Makkah to return to Mecca Makkah and who talked) boastfully so that they are seen by people, and (are among those who) prohibit (people) from the (correct) way of Allah (by persecuting anyone who believes in Allah) while Allah is surrounding (meaning, while Allah knows) everything that they do.

Quran 8:48 Koran 8:48 Verse 8:48 Ayah 8:48 Ayat 8:48 Aya 8:48 And when Satan Shaitan made their (evil) deeds seem good to them (the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) and said “No humans can conquer you on this day (in the battle of Badr) because I (Satan Shaitan) am your protector.” But when the armies came in sight of one another, he (Satan Shaitan) ran away, saying, “I have nothing to do with you because I see what you cannot see. I (Satan) fear Allah. Allah is severe in punishment.

Comment 1. Satan ran away when he saw the punishment of Allah coming in the form of Angels at the battle of Badr.

Quran 8:49 Koran 8:49 Verse 8:49 Ayah 8:49 Ayat 8:49 Aya 8:49 When the hypocrites (the ones they say they believe in Allah but in their heart they really do not believe in Allah) and those in whose hearts is a disease (of disbelief in Allah such as the stone idol worshippers from Makkah) said (about the Muslims), “Their religion (belief in stone idols) has deceived them.” But whoever places their trust in Allah shall find that Allah is mighty and wise.

Quran 8:50 Koran 8:50 Verse 8:50 Ayah 8:50 Ayat 8:50 Aya 8:50 If you could have seen when the angels took the souls of those who disbelieved (among the stone idol worshippers from Makkah at the battle of Badr), striking their faces and their backs (to violently remove their unwilling soul from their body at the time of death in Quran 47:27 and Quran 79:1) and (saying), “Taste the punishment (in this life of your death as explained in Quran 52:47” which leads to the punishment) of the blazing fire (in Hell Jahannam for the evil doer as explained in Quran 46:34). – (Continued in Quran 8:51).

Comment 1. Quran 47:27 Verse 47:27 How (shall it be for those who disbelieved) when the angels take them at death and strike their faces and their backs (to violently remove their unwilling soul from their body at the time of death as explained in Quran 79:1)?

Quran 79:1 Verse 79:1 (An oath by Allah that this is the truth, swearing) by those (angels) who violently extract (from the body the unwilling soul at the time of death of those who disbelieved and who did not expected to see the angel of death).

Quran 52:47 Verse 52:47 For those who do wrong, there is a punishment before that (Day of Resurrection and Judgement which is the punishment in this life). But most of them (the wrong doers) do not know (they may be punished in this life and in the hereafter).

Quran 46:34 Verse 46:34 And on the Day (of Judgement) when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (in Hell Jahannam they shall be asked), “Is this not real? They shall reply, “Yes, by (the name of) our Lord (it is).” He (an angel guarding Hell Jahannam) shall say, “Then taste the punishment (of Hell Jahannam) that you disbelieved (really existed).”

See Quran 40:46 comments in Quran chapter 40.

Quran 8:51 Koran 8:51 Verse 8:51 Ayah 8:51 Ayat 8:51 Aya 8:51 – Because of what their own hands (the stone idol worshippers from Makkah at the battle of Badr) have done (that was evil). (For that evil they have been judged by Allah) so know that Allah is not unjust to His (Allah’s) servants.

Quran 8:52 Koran 8:52 Verse 8:52 Ayah 8:52 Ayat 8:52 Aya 8:52 Like the way of Pharaoh's Firon’s people and those before them, they disbelieved the revelations of Allah and Allah punished them for their crimes (against Allah). Allah is strong and severe in punishment.

Quran 8:53 Koran 8:53 Koran 8:53 Verse 8:53 Ayah 8:53 Ayat 8:53 Aya 8:53 That is because Allah does not withdraw a favour that He (Allah) has bestowed on a people until they first change what is within themselves (to disbelief after Allah has sent his revelations to warn them). Allah hears and knows (all things).

Quran 8:54 Koran 8:54 Verse 8:54 Ayah 8:54 Ayat 8:54 Aya 8:54 Like the way of Pharaoh's Firon’s people and those befor

e them, they disbelieved the revelations of Allah and Allah destroyed them for their crimes (against Allah). We (Allah) drowned the people of Pharaoh’s (army). All were evil-doers.

Comment 1. The Pharaoh Firon of Egypt and his army tried to recapture the children of Israel whom they had earlier freed on the orders of Allah that were delivered to the Pharaoh Firon of Egypt by Prophet Moses Musa. After the children of Israel had safely walked across the parted waters of the Red Sea, Allah returned the parted waters and drowned the pursuing Pharaoh Firon and his army.

Quran 8:55 Koran 8:55 Verse 8:55 Ayah 8:55 Ayat 8:55 Aya 8:55 The worst of creatures in Allah’s sight are the disbelievers who shall never believe (in Allah their creator, meaning those who until their time of death continued to be disbelivers in Allah).

Quran 8:56 Koran 8:56 Verse 8:56 Ayah 8:56 Ayat 8:56 Aya 8:56 The ones (the different tribes of Jews in Yathrib) with whom you make a treaty (of mutual support and protection for both the Muslims and the Jews of Yathrib) and they (the Jews of Yathrib) break the treaty every time and they have no fear (of Allah in their treachery).

Note 1. Quran 8:60 Verse 8:60 Prepare for them all that you can of (armed) force and of horse (cavalry) so that you can frighten (to discourage) the enemy of Allah and your enemy (the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) and others (enemies) whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them (as the Arab hypocrites and one Jewish tribe after another Jewish tribe in Yathrib who would be misguided to support the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah against the Muslim believers of Allah). Whoever spend in the way of Allah, it shall be repaid to you in full and you shall not be treated unjustly (in the Hereafter).

Comment 1. Why did Allah misguide the Jews of Yathrib to support the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah against the Muslim believers of Allah?

Allah tested the deeds of the Muslims in Yathrib with the deeds of the Jews in Yathrib.

Comment 2. Why were many Jews reported to have been killed in the last Jewish betrayal in Yathrib by the last Jewish tribe in Yathrib Arabia later known as Medina Arabia today in Madinah Saudi Arabia?

Ka'b ibn Asad the leader of Banu Qurayza the last Jewish tribe in Yathrib was found with Huyayy ibn Akhtab who was the chief of the Banu Nadir a Jewish tribe that had been exiled out of Yathrib by Prophet Muhammad previously. Banu Nadir were now fighting with the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah against the Muslims in Yathrib.

Banu Nadir and its leader Huyayy ibn Akhtab who had previously been exiled had now returned and fought with the stone idol worshippers against the Muslims in Yathrib and now Huyayy ibn Akhtab was found to be in the home of the leader of Banu Qurayza in Yathrib.

Ka'b ibn Asad the leader of Banu Qurayza was allowed to choose a judge for the crime of betrayal.

Ka'b ibn Asad did not choose Prophet Muhammad as his judge but he chose another man and agreed to accept that mans judgement.

That man named Sa'd ibn Mu'adh used the Torah Taurat law of death for betrayal for the men who faught against the Muslims and freedom from punishment for the women and children because they were not fighting.

If the Jewish leader had chosen Prophet Muhammad as his judge it would have been a sign of belief and Quran 5:13 Verse 5:13 would have guided Prophet Muhammad as the word of Allah willed.

However Ka'b ibn Asad the leader of the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza was guided to choose the judgement of death in the Torah Taurat instead of the judgement of mercy and forgiveness in the Koran Quran.

In the same way the leaders Ka'b ibn Asad of Banu Qurayza and Huyayy ibn Akhtab of Banu Nadir had been guided to support the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah against the Muslim believers of Allah in Yathrib.

During the battle of the trench in Yathrib Banu Nadir started negations to convince Banu Qurayza in Yathrib Arabia to join the combined forces against the Muslims, the battle of "al-Khandaq" known as the Trench, the battle of the ditch).

See Quran 8:25 comments.

Comment 3. The greatness of Allah’s teaching of mercy and forgiveness.

3a. Muslim mercy and forgiveness to the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah.

Prophet Muhammad takes Mecca Makkah without a fight and Prophet Muhammad tells the stone idol worshipers in Mecca Makkah "you are free."

When Prophet Muhammad captured Mecca Makkah without a fight Prophet Muhammad said to the people of Mecca Makkah you are free.

Prophet Muhammad had fought against stone idol worship and when he captured Mecca Makkah he said to the stone idol worshipers you are free.

3b. Muslim mercy and forgiveness to the Christians in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

After a siege Saladin takes Jerusalem Al-Quds and Saladin tells the Christians in Jerusalem Al-Quds "you are free".

When the Christians captured Jerusalem Al-Quds there was a terrible loss of life.

When Saladin (Salah Ad-din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub) re-captured Jerusalem Al-Quds from the Christians he said "you are free."

3c. Muslims invite the Jews to resettle in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

When Saladin recaptured Jerusalem Al-Quds Saladin invited the Jews to resettle in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

When the Christians captured Jerusalem Al-Quds the Jews were not welcome in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

When Saladin (Salah Ad-din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub) re-captured Jerusalem Al-Quds from the Christians Saladin invited the Jews to resettle in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

Quran 8:57 Koran 8:57 Verse 8:57 Ayah 8:57 Ayat 8:57 Aya 8:57 If you meet them (those who break their treaties) in war, then deal with them (those who have broken the treaty) so that others shall remember and be deterred from following them (meaning, so that others are deterred from breaking their agreements with you).

Comment 1. Quran 8:57 explains that the reason for harsh punishment against those that break agreements (treaties) is so that others shall remember the consequences and so that they are not tempted to also break their agreements and treaties.

Comment 2.

Quran 8:58 Koran 8:58 Verse 8:58 Ayah 8:58 Ayat 8:58 Aya 8:58 And if you fear treachery from any people then be fair (be just) to them by telling them that they have broken the treaty (so there is no treaty between you). Allah does not love those that are treacherous (meaning Allah does not love those that do not keep their word, their promises, their agreements and their treaty).

Comment 1. If you suspect someone broke their word you are not also allowed to break your word otherwise you can be accused of treachery. That is why you must end the treaty fairly with justice if you fear treachery. When the other party is informed that there is no treaty between you and them then that treaty no longer applies to you.

See Quran chapter 9.

Quran 8:59 Koran 8:59 Verse 8:59 Ayah 8:59 Ayat 8:59 Aya 8:59 Do not let those who disbelieve (the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah that escaped capture at the battle of Badr) think that they have eluded (Allah). They cannot escape (because no one can escape from Allah).

Quran 8:60 Koran 8:60 Verse 8:60 Ayah 8:60 Ayat 8:60 Aya 8:60 Prepare for them all that you can of (armed) force and of horse (cavalry) so that you can frighten (to discourage) the enemy of Allah and your enemy (the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) and others (enemies) whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them (as the Arab hypocrites and one Jewish tribe after another Jewish tribe in Yathrib who would be misguided to support the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah against the Muslim believers of Allah).

See Quran 8:56 comments.

Quran 8:61 Koran 8:61 Verse 8:61 Ayah 8:61 Ayat 8:61 Aya 8:61 And if they (the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza in Yathrib and the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah) incline to peace, then you also incline to peace and trust in Allah. He (Allah) is the (all) hearing and the (all) knowing.

Comment 1. Quran 8:61 applies to the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza in Yathrib during the siege of Yathrib by the stone idol worshipper army of Mecca Makkah in the Battle of the Trench when Banu Qurayza was thought to be making a secret deal with the idol worshipper army of Mecca Makkah. Both the Muslims of Yathrib and the Jews of Yathrib were under that same siege. See Quran 8:56 comments.

Battle of the Trench (Battle of the Trench 31 March 627 AD, 31 March 627 CE, Shawwal 5 AH, Ghazwah al-Khandaq, Battle of Ahzab, Battle of the Confederates, Siege of Medina Madinah, Siege of Yathrib, Ghazwah al-Ahzab, The battle of the Muslims in Yathrib against Al-Ahzab which were the combined forces against the Muslims in Yathrib Arabia were the Banu Quraysh tribe of the Arab stone idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah Arabia and their Arab allies and the Arab tribe of Banu Ghatafan north of Yathrib Arabia and the Jewish tribe of Banu Nadir of Khaybar Arabia and others. During the battle of the trench in Yathrib Banu Nadir started negations to convince Banu Qurayza in Yathrib Arabia to join the combined forces against the Muslims, the battle of "al-Khandaq" known as the Trench, the battle of the ditch).

Comment 2. Quran 8:61 also applies to the stone idol worshippers from Mecca Makkah as indicated in Quran 8:19 and Quran 8:38 – 8:40.

Quran 8:62 Koran 8:62 Verse 8:62 Ayah 8:62 Ayat 8:62 Aya 8:62 And if they want to betray you (Prophet Muhammad), then (know that) Allah is sufficient for you. It is He (Allah) who supports you with His (Allah’s) help and with the believers. – (Continued in Quran 8:63).

Note 1. Quran 8:71 Verse 8:71 But if they intend to betray you (Prophet Muhammad) then (know that) they already betrayed Allah before. So He (Allah) gave (you, Prophet Muhammad) power over them. Allah is all knowing and all wise.

Quran 8:63 Koran 8:63 Verse 8:63 Ayah 8:63 Ayat 8:63 Aya 8:63 – And (regarding the believers Allah has) united their hearts. If (Prophet Muhammad) you had spent all that is on the Earth you could not have united their hearts but Allah has united them (the believers). Allah is mighty and wise.

Quran 8:64 Koran 8:64 Verse 8:64 Ayah 8:64 Ayat 8:64 Aya 8:64 O Prophet (Muhammad), Allah is sufficient for you and those believers who follow you.

Quran 8:65 Koran 8:65 Verse 8:65 Ayah 8:65 Ayat 8:65 Aya 8:65 (Allah wants Prophet Muhammad to learn mercy and forgiveness by experiencing the fear and doubt of his men when it is revealed by Allah) O Prophet (Muhammad), encourage the believers to fight (with you the stone idol worshippers from Makkah). If there are twenty steadfast (men with you) they shall overcome two hundred (men), and if there are one hundred (steadfast men with you) they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a people that do not understand (that all power lies with Allah the creator. The prophet understands this but Allah will show that the men of Prophet Muhammad do not fully understand this because many are new to the religion of Allah).

Comment 1. Quran 8:65 and Quran 8:66 are like Torah Taurat Leviticus 26:8.

Comment 2.

Comment 3. Quran 8:65 is explained further in Quran 8:66.

Quran 8:66 Koran 8:66 Verse 8:66 Ayah 8:66 Ayat 8:66 Aya 8:66 (In Quran 8:65 Allah willed for Prophet Muhammad to experience the fear and doubt of his men and Allah will now teach Prophet Muhammad that fear and doubt in men is removed not by a harsh response but by mercy and forgiveness when it is revealed by Allah who is the most merciful and the most kind that) now Allah has lightened your burden (to convince people that one man can defeat 10 men as revealed in Quran 8:65) because He (Allah) knows that there is a weakness (of fear and doubt) in you (to fight ten times your number). So (with mercy and kindness and forgiveness tell them) if you are one hundred steadfast (men) they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand (steadfast men with you) they shall overcome two thousand by the permission of Allah. Allah is with the steadfast.

Comment 1. The same teaching in Quran 8:65 – 8:66 is found in Quran 3:159.

Quran 3:159 Verse 3:159 So because of the mercy of Allah you (Prophet Muhammad) dealt gently with them (who disobeyed your orders at the battle of Uhud), If you (Prophet Muhammad) had been rude and harsh in your heart then surely they would have dispersed from around you (and abandoned the religion of Allah but they did not do that because of the goodness Allah has put in your heart which is an excellent example to them of the religion of Allah). So pardon them (for having left their positions in the battlefield to collect war booty) and ask forgiveness (from Allah) for them and consult with them about the matter (which occurred at the battle of Uhud). Then when you have (all) decided the matter then put your trust in Allah. Allah loves those who put their trust (in Allah).

Comment 2. If Allah wills one man could defeat 10 men (as is the ratio of men in Quran 8:65) but because of the weakness in man that causes fear and doubt, Allah removed that fear and doubt through a new revelation saying that 5 men can defeat 10 men (in Quran 8:66).

Comment 3. The development of the religion of Islam required that Prophet Muhammad and his follows experienced what Allah had planned for them to experience. The Quran gives an understanding of some of the historical events that explain different verses in the Quran.

Comment 4. If a single Quran was presented to humans as a complete book at one time then it would have been a revelation of perfection from heaven without an opportunity for human experience. The Quran is revealed as the life time experience of Prophet Muhammad. It is a book of revelation from Allah that includes a lifetime experience of humans that are revealed by Allah step by step.

Comment 5. Quran 8:67 is a verse that is explained further in Quran 47:4 when Allah revealed that prisoners of war could be freed without any condition. See more in the Quran 8:67 comments.

Quran 8:67 Koran 8:67 Verse 8:67 Ayah 8:67 Ayat 8:67 Aya 8:67 A Prophet does not take prisoners of war (to free them for a ransom) until he has subdued the land. You desire the temptations of the world (ransom money for freeing the captives), but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. Allah is mighty and wise.

Comment 1. Quran 8:67 is explained further in Quran 47:4 which revealed the command from Allah which also allows prisoners of war to be freed without any conditions.

Quran 47:4 Verse 47:4 When you meet (in the field of battle) those who disbelieve (the idol worshippers of Mecca Makkah), strike (their) necks (meaning, slay them, fight them, battle with them) until they are defeated (in the battle), then (take captives and) tie them securely, and afterwards either (make a) grace (by freeing them with no conditions) or ransoming (them) when the war ends (prisoner exchange). That (is the command of Allah). And if Allah had willed, He (Allah) could have taken vengeance on them (Himself), but (Allah decreed) to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah He (Allah) shall not waste their deeds. (This verse was revealed at the battle of Uhud. At that time 1,400 years ago there were no guns. In battle people used swords to fight and the most vulnerable part of the body was the neck in the same way that today those that use guns are trained to shoot at the body which is the biggest and therefore the easiest target. 1,400 years ago it was the Army that was well trained in the use of the sword that could better survive hand to hand close combat during a battle in the field).

Comment 2.

Quran 8:68 Koran 8:68 Verse 8:68 Ayah 8:68 Ayat 8:68 Aya 8:68 If it had not been for an order of Allah that preceded, (meaning, had it not been for a revelation from Allah that made the taking of spoils and captives lawful before you took the spoils and the prisoners of war at the battle of Badr) then an awful punishment would have come to you for what you took.

Quran 8:69 Koran 8:69 Verse 8:69 Ayah 8:69 Ayat 8:69 Aya 8:69 So enjoy what you took as spoils of war (booty), as lawful and good and keep your duty to Allah. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Quran 8:70 Koran 8:70 Verse 8:70 Ayah 8:70 Ayat 8:70 Aya 8:70 O Prophet (Muhammad), Say to those captives who are in your hands: “If Allah knows of any good in your hearts He (Allah) shall give you better than that which has been taken from you and shall forgive you. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Comment 1. Quran 8:70 outlines the compassionate treatment required towards captives.

Quran 8:71 Koran 8:71 Verse 8:71 Ayah 8:71 Ayat 8:71 Aya 8:71 But if they intend to betray you (Prophet Muhammad) then (know that) they already betrayed Allah before. So He (Allah) gave (you, Prophet Muhammad) power over them. Allah is all knowing and all wise.

Note 1. Quran 8:62 Verse 8:62 And if they want to betray you (Prophet Muhammad), then (know that) Allah is sufficient for you. It is He (Allah) who supports you with His (Allah’s) help and with the believers. –

Quran 8:72 Koran 8:72 Verse 8:72 Ayah 8:72 Ayat 8:72 Aya 8:72 Those who believed and left their homes (in Mecca Makkah and went into exile) and struggled for the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives, and those who gave shelter (by giving them asylum from the religious persecution in Mecca Makkah) and helped them, they are protectors and friends to each other. And those who believed (in Allah) but did not leave their homes (in Mecca Makkah as they were commanded by Allah through Prophet Muhammad) you (Prophet Muhammad) have no duty to protect them until they emigrate (from Mecca Makkah to Yathrib) but if they seek help from you in the name of faith then it is your duty to help (them) except (in helping them) against a people between whom you have a treaty. Allah sees all that you do.

Comment 1. Muslim believers must honour their treaties with the disbelievers.

Allah tells Prophet Muhammad that Prophet Muhammad cannot help a Muslim who lives in Mecca Makkah if such help is against the treaty between the Muslims in Yathrib and the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah.

Quran 8:73 Koran 8:73 Verse 8:73 Ayah 8:73 Ayat 8:73 Aya 8:73 And those who disbelieve (the stone idol worshippers in Mecca Makkah and others) are protectors to each other. If you (the Muslims) do not (help and protect each other then) there shall be persecution in the land and great misbehavior.

Quran 8:74 Koran 8:74 Verse 8:74 Ayah 8:74 Ayat 8:74 Aya 8:74 Those who believed and left their homes (in Mecca Makkah and went into exile) and struggled for the cause of Allah, and those who took them in (giving them asylum from the religious persecution in Mecca Makkah) and helped them, they are the true believers in Allah. For them is pardon (for their sins) and the generous provision (of Paradise in the Hereafter).

Quran 8:75 Koran 8:75 Verse 8:75 Ayah 8:75 Ayat 8:75 Aya 8:75 And those who believed and emigrated (from Mecca Makkah to go into exile in Yathrib) and struggled along with you, they are your brothers (with the same religion). And those who are related (by birth) are nearer to each other according to the decree of Allah. Allah knows all things.
