✞Obituary, Owosso Argus Press, Owosso, MI, 20 Aug 1986 -Walter F. Dysinger Age 65, of 108 Marion St., Henderson, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1986, at The Memorial Hospital, Owosso. Mr. Dysinger worked at Midland Ross as a machinist. Services will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Knapp & Smith Chapel, Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Tree Cemetery. Pastor Ray Miller will officiate. Visitation today at the chapel until 9 p.m. Mr. Dysinger was born in Clare County, July 16, 1921, the son of Ross Edgar Dysinger and Flora Ann Smith. He attended school in Clare and resided most of his life in the Owosso area. He and Betty Jones were married in Owosso, March 22, 1941. He was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
Survivors include, his wife, Betty; seven sons: Richard and Annie of Bannister, Terry and Sandra of Henderson, Donald and Elizabeth of Brant, William and Jean of Bannister, Robert and W. Scott of Henderson, Wayne and Cindi of Owosso; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Mrs. Esther Williams of Clare, Mrs. Willis (Barbara) Snow of Evart, Mrs. Gerald (Jessis) Myers of Mecsota, Mrs. Ethel Vincent of Brant, Mrs. Don (Doris) Heath of Mecsota, Mrs. William (Jean) Sebastion of Beaverton; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sons and a grandson. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association. Read Walter's sister's story of her childhood and family.
✞Betty J Dysinger age 90 of the Corunna/Henderson/Owosso, MI area passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility. Funeral Services will be held at 4pm Sunday, May 3 at Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Ilko Tchakarov officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Saturday May 2 from 2pm to 4 pm and 6pm to 8pm.. Betty was born October 31, 1924 in Shaftsburg, the daughter of Earl and Beatrice (Walters) Jones. She graduated from Owosso High School, Class of 1941. Betty was a member of the Church of Christ in Henderson and taught Sunday School there for 20 years. She then became an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She married Walter F. Dysinger in Owosso on March 22, 1941. Betty spent her days taking care of her home and her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother spending quality time with her loved ones. Betty also enjoyed playing board games and was a fierce scrabble player. She enjoyed her flowers and taking care of her flower garden. She was an avid member of her church and loved her Lord and her church family.
Betty is survived by her children, Don Dysinger, Bill (Jean) Dysinger, Walter Scott (Liz) Dysinger, and Wayne (Diana) Dysinger; Daughter-in-law Sandy Dysinger, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Miller; and sister-in-law Betty Jones. She was predeceased by her sons Richard, Terry, Robert and Dee Dysinger, her parents and brothers Theodore and Larry Jones. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association.

✞James A. Dysinger age 50 died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 19 2012 in Auglaize Township, Paulding County, OH. He was born March 7, 1962 in Paulding, the son of Vernon C. and Iona (Holtsberry) Dysinger. On April 17, 1992 he married Merry Chris Lowe, who survives. He was employed by Defiance Metal Products, Defiance, Ohio. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Chris Dysinger, Paulding; two brothers, Terry Dysinger, Paulding, and Jerry Dysinger, Putnam, Conn.; three sisters, Rita Robinson, Paulding, Brenda (Ba) Vo, Austin, TX, and Karen (Curt) Felver, Zanesville, OH; four step children: Harold J. Collins, Paula G. Manning, Kenneth J. Collins, and Harold A. Eldridge; eleven step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and his best friend "Buddy". He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vernon "Bruce" Dysinger, Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM Monday, September 24 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery, Paulding County. Visitation will be 2 - 8PM Sunday, September 23 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Monday. On April 7, 1992 she married James A. Dysinger, who preceded her in death on September 19, 2012. She is survived by her children: John Collins, Junction, OH, Paula Collins, of Bellefontaine, OH, Kenneth (Alexis) Collins, Mora, MN, Andy Eldridge, Grover Hill, OH; brothers, Danny (Jane) Lowe, Jefferson City, TN, Fain (Patty) Lowe, Antwerp; a sister, Beverly “Gail” Barnhouse, Antwerp; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, A. Linda Roth Collins, and a brother, Jackie Lowe.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. She will be laid to rest in Hedges Cemetery, Paulding County. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, August 23 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services.

✞Vernon "Bruce" Dysinger born May 1, 1957 to the late Vernon C. Dysinger and Iona M. Holtsberry died May 21, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by family. In February 1976 he married Cheryl Nickols but later divorced. They had two children, a son, Greg (Carrie) Dysinger and a daughter, Cassie Dysinger. Bruce enjoyed being outdoors, tinkering with multiple projects, gardening, and fossil hunting with his sisters and family. He also loved spending all the time he could with his grandchildren, Alyssa Dysinger and Timothy Dysinger. He was formerly employed at Dietrich Industries in Hicksville, Ohio. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, 3 sisters: Rita Robinson, Paulding, Brenda (Ba) Vo, of Texas, and Karen (Curt) Felver of Zanesville, OH; 3 brothers, Jim (Chris) Dysinger of Paulding, Terry Dysinger of Paulding, and Jerry Dysinger of Putnam, Connecticut. ✞Philip Ernest Petty, age 78, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center. A lakeside memorial service will be held this summer as his ashes will be spread at Old Hickory Lake per his wishes.
Mr. Petty was born March 14, 1942 in Nashville, TN to the late Fred and Garnet Dysinger Petty. He was a story teller. From his days in Oedingen Germany as an Army private to his years in search of the biggest bass, to his on-the-job exploits as an electrician with the IBEW, he always had an anecdote or joke. His outgoing personality and friendly demeaner assured him of making lifelong friends. He was happy to hear your opposing opinion then tell you why you were wrong. He was a great Dad, ensuring we knew how to fish, set up a tent, beat another car off the line and wire a light fixture. He was a steadfast husband who loved his wife of 57 years. In his later years, when he could no longer fish, he bought a Spyder and toured the backroads as often as possible with his wife at his back, holding on for dear life. In his leisure time, he was a carpenter, a leather worker, a card player, a photographer and handy man. He brought both artistry and precision to his personal pursuits and could do anything he set his mind to. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his parents Mr. Petty is preceded in death by his brothers, Russell Petty and Roy Petty. He is survived by his wife, Carol Tolbert Petty; daughters, Kimberly D. Petty of Nashville, Connie M. Lockert of Ashland City and Angela (Michael) R. Petty of Nashville; sisters, Peggy (Joe) Greer of Smyrna and Ona Herndon of Loudon, TN; and grandson, Ryan (Krystal) Lockert.

✞Gale Dysinger 93, of Cecil, Ohio, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2004 at his residence. Born in Antwerp, Ohio on September 15, 1910, he was the son of the late Isaac and Leona (Applegate) Dysinger. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cecil. He was a Machinist at Grizzly Manufacturing Paulding and also farmed and worked for the Wabash Railroad & Crane Township. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, John Deere tractors, trains and local school sports. Gale married Ruth Jackson May 27, 1937. She passed away May 14, 1982. He will be missed by his daughter & son-in-law, Mary Lou and Wade Gibson of Cecil; grandsons Martin of Aguilar, CO and Matthew of Oakland, CA. His brothers, Carl & Fred Dysinger and sisters, Hazel Dysinger, Mable Simpson, Melba Dysinger, Elizabeth Dysinger, Meryl Dysinger, Madge Pruett, Madelyn "Dot" Liddle, Vera McKinney, Garnet Petty & Beulah Nickols have passed away. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Antwerp at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 10, with Revs. Herman Scherger and Tim Kummerer officiating. He was laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery, Cecil. Contributions may be made to the Paulding Hospice in Gale's memory. Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, was in charge of arrangements.

Parents were Jay and Mary (Bakle) Jackson Surviving are her husband Gale; a daughter, Mrs. Wade (Mary Lou) Gibson, Cecil; two sisters, Mrs. James (Violet) Noneman and Mrs. Robert (Alice) Miller, both of Paulding: six brothers, John of Lake City, Mich., Paul and Donald of Cecil, Joseph of Paulding, Robert of Defiance, and William of Antwerp: and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Services will be at 10a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Cecil. The Rev. David Beck and Deacon Francis Koehnn will officiate. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Cecil. Calling at Den-Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, is after 1 p.m. Sunday. A scriptural service will be held there at 8:30 p.m. Sunday
