Kiyotaka is a rare SS ability with a built in counter effect, boosting his DPS and survivability. He also has gradually increasing DMG with uses of his active, making him excellent for extended fights too.

If you are below Floor 121, please use the Early Game Build, focusing on physical (ATK) classes, weapons and armor.
Else:
Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is compatible with the Critical and Dodge playstyle. The Counter Build is also possible, yet investment is required.
Critical : Prioritize Critical Dagger (expertise) : Shadowfang (if you die quickly) / Airfoil (if you are staying alive but just lacking DPS)
Maximizes DMG output at the cost of being squishy. May not live long enough for all activations of his ability, which is meant for long fights. Still, the counter attack DMG and the innate DEF/MR shred pairs up and benefits from the bonus DMG stats
Dodge : Prioritize Dodge Dagger (expertise) : Dirge > Tyrhung > Silent Hurl
Allows him to stay alive and use his ability multiple times for additional dodge and DMG. Overall a solid build choice
Counter : Decent synergy specifically with Soulfist
ROLLING COW : BUILD + PLAYSTYLE
ROLLING COW : BUILD + PLAYSTYLE
Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is compatible with all Rolling Cow Builds.
You may use his ability early on (60 💧, 3 times) for the permanent dodge buff.
