কী-প্রশ্ন
বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায় 'কী', 'কে', 'কোথায়', 'কখন', 'কেন', 'কোন', বা 'কেমন'-এর মতো প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দ ব্যবহার করে প্রশ্ন করার কয়েকটা উপায় আছে। এটা মনে রাখা উচিত, যে প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দটা (যেমন 'কী', 'কে'...) সাধারণত দুই জায়গার একটাতে বসতে পারে: হয় বাক্যের শেষে, অথবা বাক্যের সেই স্থানে যেখানে উত্তরটার আসার কথা প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দটা (অথবা পুরা বাক্যটা) বলার সময়েও, মাথা উপরে ও পিছনের দিকে উঠানো হয়। নিচের উদাহরণগুলো দেখুন।
In Bangla SL, there are a few ways to ask a question using words like 'who', 'what', 'where', 'when', 'why', 'which', or 'how'. The important things to remember are that the question word (e.g. 'who', 'what'...) usually appears in one of two places: either at the end of the sentence, or in the position of the sentence where the answer is expected to go. The question word, and sometimes the entire sentence, also involves tilting the head up and back. See the examples below.
ইশারায়ঃ সূচক২^সামনে কাজ=+ [কি কী২+ কি]

বাংলায়ঃ তুমি কী কাজ করো?

এখানে দেখতে পাচ্ছেন যে প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দ কী২+ (অর্থাৎ 'কী') বাক্যের শেষে এসেছে। উল্লেখ্য যে এই শব্দক্রম (মোটামুটি 'তুমি কাজ কী') কথ্য বাংলায় ভুল ব্যাকরণ হত, কিন্তু বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায় এটা একদম সঠিক।
Here you can see that the question word WH2+ (meaning 'what') appears at the end of the sentence. Note that this word order (roughly 'you work what') would not be correct in spoken Bengali, but it is perfect in Bangla SL.

এখানে দেখতে পাচ্ছেন যে প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দ কী২+ (অর্থাৎ 'কী') বাক্যটার মাঝখানে এসেছে, যেখানে উত্তরটার থাকার কথা, যেমন—'তুমি খিচুড়ি খাচ্ছো'।
Here you can see that the question word WH2+ (meaning 'what') appears in the middle of the sentence, where you might expect the answer to be, as in 'I am eating khichuri' (in Bangla SL's SOV word order).
ইশারায়ঃ শীত=+ [কি কবে শুরু= কি]

এখানে দেখতে পাচ্ছেন যে প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দ কবে বাক্যটার মাঝখানে এসেছে, যেখানে উত্তরটার থাকার কথা, যেমন—'শীত সামনের মাসে শুরু'।
Here you can see that the question word WHEN appears in the middle of the sentence, where you might expect the answer to be, as in 'Winter starts next month' (in Bangla SL's word order).
ইশারায়ঃ লাল [কি জামা= কী১= কি]
বাংলায়ঃ লাল জামাটা কোথায়?
English: Where is the red shirt?
এখানে দেখতে পাচ্ছেন যে প্রশ্নবোধক শব্দ কী১= (অর্থাৎ 'কোথায়') বাক্যের শেষে এসেছে। উত্তরটাও সেখানেই থাকার কথা, যেমন 'লাল জামাটা বিছানার উপরে'।
Here you can see that the question word WH1= (meaning 'where') appears at the end of the sentence. It is also where you might expect the answer to be, as in 'the red shirt is on the bed'.
