হাতে বানান করা
ব্যক্তির নাম বা কোনও লিখিত শব্দ হাতে বানান করতে ইংরেজি অক্ষর ইশারায় বোঝানো যায়। বেশির ভাগ সময়, এমনকি বাংলা ভাষার শব্দ বা বাংলাদেশের জায়গার নাম উল্লেখ করার ক্ষেত্রেও, ইংরেজি বর্ণমালাই ব্যবহার করা হয়। খুব কম ব্যবহৃত হলেও, কিছু ইশারাভাষী বাংলা বর্ণমালা এবং আরবি হরফও হাতে বানান করতে জানেন। নিচে কয়েকজন ইশারাভাষীদেরকে ইংরেজি অক্ষরে তাঁদের নাম ও অন্য কিছু শব্দ বানান করার উদাহরণ দেখতে পারেন।
In Bangla SL, English letters can be represented by fingerspelling, often used to spell out a person's name or any written word. Most of the time, this is done using the English alphabet, even when referring to words of Bengali or places in Bangladesh. While very rarely used, some signers also know the fingerspelled Bengali and Arabic alphabets. You can see examples of signers spelling out their names and other words in English letters below.
উদাহরণস্বরূপ, এখানে একজন শ্রবণ-ও-বাকপ্রতিবন্ধী ইশারাভাষী আবদুল্লাহ দুই হাতের ইংরেজি বর্ণমালা (fsE2b) ব্যবহার করে তাঁর নাম বানান করছেন।
As an example, here a Deaf signer Abdullah is fingerspelling his name using the two-handed English alphabet (fsE2b).

আরেকটা উদাহরণে, শ্রবণ-ও-বাকপ্রতিবন্ধী ইশারাভাষী রোমান দুই হাতের ইংরেজি বর্ণমালা (fsE2b) ব্যবহার করে ভাষাবিদ সামীরের নাম বানান করছেন। (লক্ষ্য করুন যে নীচের-ডান কোণায়, সামীর তার নিজের নাম ভুলভাবে দেখাচ্ছেন, কারণ E অক্ষরটা উল্টা হলো!)
As another example, Deaf signer Roman is signing linguist Sameer's name using the 2-handed English manual alphabet (fsE2b). (Note that in the bottom-right corner, Sameer is fingerspelling his own name wrong, as the E is backwards!)

অবশেষে, এখানে শ্রবণ-ও-বাকপ্রতিবন্ধী ইশারাভাষী তানিম দুই হাতে ইংরেজি বর্ণমালা (fsE2b) ব্যবহার করে 'lipreading' শব্দটার বানান করছেন। একেবারে শেষে তিনি ঠোঁটের দিকে ইশারা করে পরিভাষাটা ব্যাখ্যা করতে শুরু করেন।
Finally, here Deaf signer Tanim is signing the English word "lipreading" using the 2-handed English manual alphabet (fsE2b). At the very end he then starts to explain the term by pointing to his lips.
