বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায় গণনা করার সময়, সাধারণত বিশেষ্য এবং সংখ্যাটাকে আলাদা ইশারা হিসাবে বলা হয়। তবে, বাংলা ইশারা ভাষার কিছু কিছু বিশেষ্যের ক্ষেত্রে সংখ্যা অন্তর্ভুক্তি প্রয়োজন হয়, যেখানে সংখ্যা এবং গণনা করা বিশেষ্যটা মিলে একটা একক ইশারা তৈরি করে — এটা শুধু বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায়ই নয়, অনেক ইশারা ভাষাতেই দেখা যায়। সংখ্যা অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার ক্ষেত্রে, গণনা করা বিশেষ্যের ইশারাটা উপযোগী সংখ্যার হস্তাকৃতি ধারণ করে। অর্থাৎ, 'তিন মাস' বলতে গেলে 'মাস'-এর ইশারাটায় 'তিন'-এর ইশারার হস্তাকৃতি ধারণ করে। এখানে এটাকে THREExMONTH হিসেবে প্রতিলিপি করা হয়েছে, যেখানে 'x' চিহ্নটা এই পরিবর্তনকে নির্দেশ করে। সব মিলিয়ে, এটা একটা সম্পূর্ণ নতুন ইশারা তৈরি করে, যেখানে সংখ্যা এবং বিশেষ্য একটা মসৃণ উপাদানে একত্রিত হয়ে যায়। নিচে, আমরা বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায় পাওয়া সেইসব নির্দিষ্ট ইশারাগুলির তালিকা দিয়েছি যেগুলিতে সংখ্যা অন্তর্ভুক্তি প্রয়োজন। প্রতিটা চিত্রে দেখানো হয়েছে কীভাবে সেই বিশেষ্যটার এক সংখ্যা গণনা করতে হয়, যেমন—‘এক মিনিট’, ‘এক ঘণ্টা’, ইত্যাদি। অন্যান্য সংখ্যাগুলো কীভাবে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয় তা দেখতে লিঙ্কগুলোতে ক্লিক করুন।

When counting in Bangla SL, normally you just sign the noun and then the number, as separate signs. However, certain nouns in Bangla SL require numeral incorporation, where the number and the noun being counted form a single sign -- this is seen in many sign languages, not just Bangla SL. In numeral incorporation, the sign of the noun takes on the handshape representing the number of nouns being counted. That is, the sign for 'three months' takes the 'month' sign and changes the handshape to 'three'. This is transcribed THREExMONTH here, with the 'x' representing the modification. Altogether, this creates a whole new sign, with the numeral and noun combined into one smooth element.
