Basic word order

বাংলা ইশারা ভাষায় একটা বাক্য গঠন করতে বিভিন্ন ইশারা সঠিক ক্রমে সাজাতে হবে। লক্ষ্য করুন যে শব্দক্রমে অনেক বৈচিত্র্য থাকতে পারে, তবে কিছু নিয়ম বেশি প্রচলিত। যেমন, বাক্যের কর্তা সাধারণত প্রথমে আসে এবং ক্রিয়া সাধারণত শেষে আসে। নিচের বাক্যে, ইশারাগুলি আক্ষরিকভাবে হলো সূচক৩নিজে স্কুল ছয়২ শিখানো+ দেখা২, যেখানে সূচক৩নিজে এর মানে হচ্ছে হাতের তালু নিজের বুকে "আমি" বোঝানো।

To build a sentence in Bangla Sign Language, you will need to put together various signs in the correct order. Note that there can be a lot of variation in word order, but certain patterns are more common. For example, the subject of the sentence tends to come first, and the verb tends to come last. In the following sentence, the signs are literally IX3SELF  SCHOOL SIX2 TEACH+ SEE2, where IX3SELF is functioning as the pronoun 'I/me'.

আরেকটা উদাহরণ দেখানোর জন্য, এখানে একটা বাক্য রয়েছে যার অর্থ "আমি সব বিড়ালকে পছন্দ করি", আক্ষরিকভাবে ইশারায় "আমি সব বিড়াল পছন্দ"। এখানেও কর্তা প্রথমে আসে এবং ক্রিয়া শেষে আসে।

To show another example, here is a sentence that means "I love all cats", literally "ME ALL CAT LOVE" in sign. Again the subject comes first and the verb comes last.
