Synopsis: Abigail is determined to find out what her next-door neighbour is hiding.
It's been two weeks since Aiden Rodgers and his family moved in to the house next to Abigail's. He was an odd boy, always leaving class early and coming in late, out of breath. He was always in his backyard, looking anxiously around to see if someone was watching and, if he saw them, smiled kindly and small talked.Â
Abigail couldn't help but wanting to decode him. His distant gaze, the way he stood tall like a super hero, the way his blond hair was always messed up and his blue eyes looked like static electricity. He looked like he hid something and she really wanted to see what could a 17 years old possibly hide that made him look so distraught and out of this world.Â
She was thinking of all this when his phone suddenly got a notification and he excused himself to the bathroom, he ran out like he was in a race and Abigail knew she must follow him. She asked the teacher if she could go to the nurse's office, but she actually ran after him.Â
But she couldn't find him, she waited by his locker and she saw him coming out of the bathroom, after 39 minutes.Â
"Abigail! What, uh..., are you doing here?"
"Nothing. I wasn't feeling well, so I ran out to calm down, y'know?"
"Oh, can I do something to help?"
"No. It's fine."
He was putting something in his locker anxiously, a piece of blue spandex.
'What could he possibly do in the bathroom with blue spandex?' Abigail wondered.Â
The school day went on normally afterwards, he was sometimes looking questioningly at her and when she looked back at him confused he just smiled. It was clear, he was hiding something and it looks as though she was close to finding out.Â
After the last bell rang, she went up to him and, to the surprise of everyone, she asked him: "Do you want to walk home together? Since we are next-door neighbours and all that."
"I drove here, but if you'd like I could give you a ride."
Abigail nodded and they walked out the class together, chatting about the neighbourhood discussion that would take place that night. Everyone else in the class started murmuring, it was unusual for a girl as shy as Abigail to talk to someone, let alone someone as cool as Aiden Rodgers - the new boy with whom everyone wanted to be friends with!

His car was peculiar, it was extremely fast and the tablet had a lot of unusual setting. Abigail mentioned that, but Aiden started laughing and brushed it off by saying "I wanted to make this car feel dystopian, so I just downloaded a silly dystopic-like car setting from the Internet, it just plays theme songs from 90's shows. I guess that there must've been some viruses!"
The girl could tell it was a lie and she just wanted to learn more.Â
Aiden parked his car in the drive way.
"Why don't you park it in your garage?"Â
"Oh, dad just puts everything there, it's too cluttered. Well..., bye!"Â

She started looking out the window daily and then she saw it! He was looking around anxiously, he typed something and then he sank in the ground. She ran out, climbed the fence and tried to see how he sank and where he went. She looked around, but then she finally found it. She typed 1507, thinking it will not work, but that was her go-to everything, it was Throdis', her favourite superhero's, lucky number. And she was taken by surprise when it worked. And then she started sinking.

"I'm telling you, I think that girl, Abigail, is onto us."
"You're being paranoid, son, I'm sure she just fell for you."
She ended up in Throdis' lair! Aiden was Throdis!
And Abigail blew it all up by exclaiming "You're Throdis!"
Aiden was there with his parents and their faces were now paler than a ghost's.Â
"Abigail, you must vow you will never mention this to anyone!"
"Okay, I promise. But could you please give me an autograph and show me the lair, I'm your biggest fan!"
Aiden exchanged some looks with his parents, nodded and agreed. He signed a picture and gave it to her and then showed her all his gadgets: a gun that shoots lightning, a portal and a little thing that he swore she was going to love, he pointed it at her and she fainted.Â
Next thing she knew, she was asleep in her bedroom with a signed picture of Throdis next to her and no recall of what had happened that day.Â
Two days later, Aiden Rodgers and his parents moved away.
