I've always been the odd one out.
I've never known when to shut up
and when to speak.
I've always laughed
in the worst situations,
always shared too much
to people who were foes,
not confidants.
I've trusted too fast,
I've forgiven too slow,
I drove friends away,
and invited wolves in sheeps clothing.
I let the sanctimonious talk get into my head,
and felt shame for being myself.
I've paid too much attention to the scale
and too little to my mental health.
But the world keeps spinning,
even if you're the odd one out.
The sun rises evermore,
so you ought to seize the moment,
and give it your best.
