When Mr. Jones, a rich and influential man, passed, everyone was shocked he had only left his favourite granddaughter a single item - his old quill.

Even Clara herself was shocked that he left his fortune to her cousins and not her as she was the only one who had ever spent time with him, but she decided to shake it off and be grateful that he had entrusted her with his most special quill. 

She placed it on her desk and forgot about it for a couple of days until she started missing him terribly. On her way back home from school she kept recalling all of the places and things they had done and all the things they talked about.

At last, she decided to write her biology report with it.

But that was all she could write when a dozen monkeys appeared in an instant in her bedroom. 

Terrified, the girl crossed the title as fast as she could and the animals disappeared.

“That was terrifying!” she thought, “Does everything I write with it come alive?”

So, she tried it.

Record Player

And just like magic, the record player appeared on her desk. She stared at it in awe, then decided to write down more and more things which all were brought to life.

Soon, she lost all pleasure in life and grew lazy and miserable. 

Until one day, when she decided she’d start working for all those little things she wanted. She managed to make friends and understood why it is important to work for your dreams. Although it feels nice to have whatever you want, whenever you want - it feels better to know how hard you worked for it.
