Film Photography

Leading Lines

For this assignment we were instructed to use the skills we know about Leading Lines and using a film camera and then to walk around outside and around the school and take pictures that represent leading lines.

One thing I like about this photo is how there's more than one set of lines leading up to something and instead there's multiple. It makes the photo more interesting and can easily catch someone's eye more.

If I was to do this assignment again the only think I'd want to change is make the developing a little darker because while I was developing it I only did 8 seconds instead of 10 because It looked better with this photo but after it developed I realized 10 seconds would've been better.

Walk Around

For this assignment we were instructed to use any skills we've learned in photography and apply them to film photography. We walked around the school and outside and took all different kinds of photos with different technique and skills.

One thing I liked about this photo was the background. I feel like the background makes the photo stand out more and makes it more interesting. Also with her holding the camera it makes it more interesting rather than her just standing there it shows action.

If I was to do this assignment again I wouldn't want to change anything about the photo except fixing the spots on the where it goes from dark to light because it'd be better if it was all the same shade.

Documentary

For this assignment we were instructed to walk around and take documentary photos. We used our previous knowledge from being introduced to documentary photo and tried it on our own. Basically, we had to take a photo that explains something or shows existence.

One thing I like about this photo is the time I captured it. When I took the photo it was off guard so he wasn't looking at the camera smiling and he was looking away while smiling. The reason why I like that is because I think it looks better and tells a better story rather than me telling him to look over at the camera and smile.

If I had to do this over again I wouldn't change anything. The reason for that is because, I like how the photo was taken and how the development came out, it wasn't too dark nor too light and you can clearly see his face and everything on him/around him.

Portrait

For this assignment we were instructed to take portraits of other people either in our class or around with permission and try and use our previous skills in photography to take good pictures and develop them well.

One thing I liked about this assignment was how all my pictures came out. Not specifically this picture but also the other ones I took, they all focused very well and the people I took them of were either looking at the camera or off guard and it still came out well.

If I could do this project all over again the only thing I would change is I would've developed this picture more. I mean the way his body is darker then the background looks very good but I feel like I would've liked it better if the background was a little bit darker too.
