Monochromatic

For this assignment we were instructed to take a monochromatic photo which means everything all one color. After given that assignment I wasn't sure I'd be able to find anything to take a picture of that would be one color so I knew I would have to use photoshop with just a regular photo.

After knowing that I had my friend go outside and pick somewhere to stand to take a picture and I chose to do it with someone in the photo because it falls into my inquiry question and concentration. We were at school when this was taken so she chose the wall right before the stairs. Right before that wall as you can see in my photo there's tiny vines so I decided to put my camera right up next to them and then capture the photo because I thought it would be more interesting. Along with the rest of the photo I decided to keep everything in the background and not crop it out so that it would add more to the picture. After the picture was taken I put it into photoshop and had to think of one way to edit because there is multiple ways. I found the easiest way which is to select everything and make a new layer and then command U which then lets you change the color. The color I chose is also her favorite color because I thought it would tie into the picture of her better.

Overall I like how this photo came out and all the things that is attached to it. If I could go back and change anything I would love to try and figure out how to touch up her shirt to make it look better and not as much white as it does right now but other than that I like how my edits and capture came out.
