Magnification/Reflection
For this assignment we were instructed to take a picture of magnification/reflection. At first I wanted to try and do magnification but I realized I didn't have much to help me take a picture except for a mirror in my bathroom but it's really small and wouldn't make a picture come out good so I decided to go with reflection. After I chose reflection I was going to take a picture of the pond near my house with the reflection of the sky and trees but when I tried it didn't come out as good as I wanted. So, when my step mom was taking a ride down to work in Portland she asked me if I wanted to come since I've been in the house for so long and when we were driving we stopped in Scarborough by Pine Point to take a picture of the sunset which is where I took this.
After capturing the picture I noticed that there was a reflection of the sun and clouds and I thought it looked better than the first one I tried to take. I put it into the photo app and darkened the contrast and brilliance but then also made the saturation and brightness more lighter so that the picture wouldn't be too dark and you'd still be able to see the shadow and also the sunset would stay bright because I still wanted that to stand out in the photo. But, after editing it I decided not to put it in photoshop because there wasn't anything that I had to touch up or take out of the photo and I thought adding a filter would be too much.
If I could do this photo again I probably would. I wouldn't want to change anything about this photo I took but If I could I would want to try and find a way to show reflection or magnification in a more creative way. I really wanted to try and take a picture of magnification and I couldn't figure out a way so I wish I could've.
