Edited Photo

For this photo we were assigned to take a photo that represents friendship during this Covid-19 pandemic. Being completely honest, I had no idea what to do. I didn't know what kind of photo to take, I didn't know how to show it, nothing. I decided to go on google and look up friendship photo ideas to try and help me come out with an idea. I saw a lot of photos of people holding hands, hugging, standing together..etc. With having some idea I tried to take a photo at the window of my friend and I standing together with our arms around each other but after I took the photo it looked really bad. So then I tried taking a photo of us holding hands. To take this photo I set my phone on the bed and pointed it at the ceiling, put my camera roll effects on portrait and contour light and then put a 10 second time on. I had us hold hands and then put them straight above and cover the light (which isn't seen in this photo anymore).

After the photo was taken I edited it in my camera roll and added a black and white filter and then the contour effect added the light on his arm and brightness. After I did that the photo looked really good and the only thing I had to change was the little black spot thing on the edge of the photo which I think was my sweatshirt. So, in order to do that I put it into photoshop and used the spot healing tool and got rid of it. It went away easily and didn't mess up the photo. I was going to try and change the background of the photo but I left it and thought it looked very good. After that there was nothing to change and I liked the photo as it was.

Overall, I'm very proud of this photo and I never thought my phone camera could take such a good photo like this one. I've never really used the black and white filter either for any of my photos so that was a new experience but it came out very good and I also think that the holding hands is a really good representation of frienship and staying together even through this pandemic.
