Analogous Color

For this assignment we were instructed to take a picture with analogous colors which means three colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. There is many colors you could pick but I decided to pick red, orange, and red-orange. At first I was going to do blue, green, and blue-green and have my sister dress in those colors and take a picture with her under green LED lights but I tried and it didn't work out well. Another idea I had was to take a picture of fruits with those colors in a bowl and then edit in photoshop but I didn't have any of the fruits so it didn't work out. After all of that I knew I would have to be creative considering I can't leave the house so I found markers that were the colors I needed and I wrote analogous in those colors down a piece of paper. Instead of just writing the word and then taking a picture I decided to add some designs and more color to it so it would be more interesting and creative, pop out more.

After I did all that I tried tons of different angles on how to take the photo and added the markers into the photo to add more color and have doing tons of angles I found one and put it into photoshop. Before putting it into photoshop I edited it on my camera roll and made the black point darker so my blanket in the back wouldn't show, added more saturation and also made the edges more sharp. Then I put it into photoshop and I added a filter called Poster Edges and only moved the posterization notch all the way to the end. By adding that filter it basically just made it more dark and had the color pop out more which is great for this assignment.

If I could do this assignment all over again I probably would want to add the color and a portrait just so that it goes with my inquiry question but other than that I'm really proud of how it came out and how I used my creativity with tough times to make a photo. I didn't think it would come out as good as it did.
