Artist Statement: For this assignment we were instructed to take 3 different pictures of ourselves that somehow make a scene and then put them together and we also had to do that with someone else or an animal. For the pictures of me I chose to be on the stairs and the first two actions I'm just being myself and acting goofy and then the last one I have my head down acting like I'm someone looking up at the first two and thinking like "what the heck is she doing" this worked out better than I thought especially because of the stairs but it didn't come out bad. For the picture of someone else I chose to do my friend Colin and I had him stand and sit in front a purple wall and he was holding a yellow paper. He didn't do that much action he was just looking at the paper in different places and positions but after putting all three of them together I used color selection and just selected the wall and paper so that those two only stood out and everything else was black and white and that made the picture more interesting and easier to catch someones eye.
I think both my finished products are interesting but I feel like I could've have added more action to both of them to make them even more interesting so if I could go back and do this assignment again I would try and come up with something more interesting.
Some techniques I used or incorporated from past photos was leading lines, color selection, and repetition. Another thing I would change would to add more things we learned back in the beginning to show that I know how to use them properly.
