After the Department has finished the review of the facility's investigation. A summary is written. When the summary is ready for review and comment, the system sends an alert message to the facility (external email sent, message in COHFI system and 001 folder - new messages on the workbench).
The case moves to the 005 folder on the workbench can be located in folder 005 on the workbench "summary available for review and comment"
There is a 7-day timeframe to review and provide comments or accept the summary - action recommended
If no action is taken with the summary review process within the 7 - day comment period, the occurrence summary will be automatically uploaded to the public website page after 7 days.
Open the case, select "summary" tab to review the written summary.
Review for accuracy of details in the report

Select Accept Summary if the occurrence summary is accurate according to the information submitted in the initial and final report and followup notes. The summary will be posted to the department's web page. After accepting summary, the event moves to 006 folder until its uploaded to the public website.
OR
Select Provide Comments if the summary does not accurately reflect information submitted previously, enter the justification comments for review. Submitted comments will show up through the message section of the report. See further details below regarding this process.
After entering comments, select Comments/Save
Add comment, select submit Comment (s)/Save to send back for departmental review
The report will remain in the folder 005
A department representative will review the comments and communicate through messages to resolve the comments.
Once resolved, the summary will be accepted, published and uploaded onto the public website.
Once the facility has taken action with the summary, the case moves to the 006 folder until it has been uploaded onto the public website.
After the case is posted on the website, the case drops off the workbench but can still be located on the "big list"
No further communication can occur through the case at this point, as the message center has been locked.
