The Message Center is meant to keep all of your messages across all three modules in one place for easy viewing. Access the Message Center after logging in by selecting the blue envelope icon toward the right side of the black menu bar, as seen below.
Messages will only appear in this list if they have not been marked as read.
If you have messages in the system that are older and have already been opened, feel free to clean up this area for a fresh start by marking all as read.
Messages requiring review will remain in the Message Center until the facility/agency has replied to that message.
Users can expand each individual message by selecting the small black arrow to the left of the message. The text of the message is able to be read here.
Once a message has been expanded/opened, it will be marked as "opened".
To open the license application, survey, or occurrence case from which the message originated, select the blue button on the right side of the screen (License Application, Survey, or Occurrence) where that case is identified. That will directly open either the license application, the survey, or the occurrence report related to the message.
To mark individual messages as read, select the Mark As Read button
To reply to a message, select the Reply button
Users may notice that the Message Center has old messages that are no longer relevant. This is because those messages were never Marked As Read, rather they were only identified as having been opened.
To clear messages from the Message Center, select Mark As Read for each individual message you would like to clear, or Mark All As Read to clear all messages that can be cleared.
If a message requires a reply, it cannot be cleared from the Message Center until the message has been replied to. You can reply from the Message Center direclty, or by opening the case and replying from Messages area of that license application, survey, or occurrence case.
