The past few days have resulted in propitious research on this line of study. The Umbra is the channel through which all alternate dark energy must be drawn. Prior to the indoctrination of gourds and cauldrons we were not certain how to cultivate the blood of Necrucifer.
The research has led to groundbreaking effects as never before seen on Algoron or perhaps any plain juxtaposed with it; I will share them with you. Firstly understand that all magic must be channeled from the Umbra. View the Umbra as like a darker passage beneath this world, if you will. In truth it is more like a world atop a world, unseen by all except Necrucifer himself. When His blood fell upon this earthen plain, we believe it never left. Rather it tainted this world forever and until these past weeks we never knew.
Through the studies of Rochford the Black and le Toad, we have discovered we are able to salvage His essence as a way to bypass the Conclave's lock on all magicks drawn from this universe. The warlocks were able to taste the wild magic through their unconventional brewing. The Shadowmagi will dine.
The most powerful effects -- the most powerful effects I will leave to le Toad to demonstrate. Suffice to say that those frail boys haunted by the bullies of their past and whose lips dare those furtive words of magic shall find an efficient alternative in the Gray Robes.
