System

Kilometer signs show the km value in white and the road number in white on red for A, R and N roads. Example:

When the road has an E number, it usually also appears:

but not always.

Every 100 m there is a simpler sign that does not show the road number (except for special cases), example on the R23 in Leuven

A new style is used in Flanders with an indication of the carriageway (h1 is the positive direction) and the road number(s) every 100 m:

Ramps have a number with format

X.Y.Z

where X is the prefix (A or R), Y is the road number with 3 digits (and leading zeroes where applicable), and Z is a sequential code. Such signs show the road number much smaller than the standard km signs, but appear every 100 m:

When carriageways split, and the carriageway in the negative direction has a different length than the positive one, a ramp kilometerage is applied on the negative direction similar to this sign:

In such cases the Fusion table shows both directions if the carriageways are more than 50 m apart.
