A simple jelly to make, delicious, and a beautiful color.
INGREDIENTS
4 c sweet cider
2 Tbsp red cinnamon candies
1 pkg powdered pectin
4 1/2 c sugar
Bring the cider, candies and pectin to a hard boil over high heat.
Stir in the sugar.
Bring back to the boil again, and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Jar and seal. To ensure a tight seal, process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes, then turn off heat and remove cover. Let jars cool for 5 minutes, then remove jars from the canner. (Some people just turn the sealed jars upside down for a few minutes.)
Makes six 8-oz jelly jars. (Recipe can be doubled.)
