The only banana bread I've ever made, courtesy of Fannie Farmer.
INGREDIENTS
3 ripe bananas, well mashed
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c coarsely chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease a loaf pan.
Mix the bananas and eggs together in a large bowl. (Don't use a mixer.)
Stir in the dry ingredients.
Add the walnuts and blend.
Pour the batter in the pan and bake for one hour.
Remove from pan to a rack.
Serve warm or cooled.
