Oddly enough, I've always made brownies but never congo bars. Here's Shirley's recipe!
INGREDIENTS
1 lb light brown sugar
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
3/4 c oil
2 3/4 c flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 (12 oz?) bag chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°.
Beat the sugar, salt, eggs and oil together.
Add the flour and baking powder, and mix together.
Add the chocolate chips and mix in.
Bake for 20-30 minutes in a greased 9" x 13" pan.
