April 27, 2014 - Bourne had a working fire - the dispatcher offered a "Ops Channel" to the IC - it was accepted - "Ops 1, C4" was assigned - I suspect that 'C4' is the simplex channel that all of the radios at the scene use - I suspect that 'C4' is patched via a MO3 back to the TRS infrastructure on the "Ops 1" talkgroup - (actually - C4 might be the position in the radio for the Ops 1 channel - ie - Zone C / Position 4 - aka - Bank C / Channel 4 - 5/11/2015
