Background: Crump came from a troubled family. When his parents weren't working, they were fighting, and he turned to his love of numbers to have something enjoyable to do with his time. One day he discovered a book about penguins, and reading about loving penguin families made him fall deeply in love with the little birds.

Eventually his love of numbers led to a degree in accounting and a job at KaibaCorp, where he met and became part of the Big Five. He tried to pitch an idea to Seto for a wildlife preserve/amusement park revolving around penguins, which Seto soundly rejected.

The Big Five's misadventures are detailed on Lector's page, which was written first.

Following a long series of unfortunate events (mostly of the Big Five's own making), Crump regained control of his body after Dr. Portman revived it as a soulless terror. He was killed trying to stop Khu from murdering Lector, but was revived by the angel Kasumi.

Of late Crump has been tasked with using a magical ring belonging to his ancestor in ancient Egypt to help protect the world. He doesn't know what to make of that, but he does like that the ring grants him ice powers during times of world-threatening crises.

Personality: Crump is a very quirky person obsessed with the protection of penguins. Unlike his friends, who are all married to their work, Crump enjoys the sight of a pretty girl, perhaps a little too much.

He cares deeply about his friends, and when that caring is put to the test, he will come through for them. He considers the other members of the Big Five as being more like his family than his biological family, with whom he is still estranged. He and Lector don't always agree, but they are close regardless.

Out of all of the Big Five, Crump probably pushes the most for the others to open up and talk to him when he thinks they want or need it, or when he does. He usually manages to draw them out eventually with his persistence and concern.

Differences Between the Timelines: The Big Five were not in the old timeline.
