William Fox Cook — No. 356

William “Bill” Fox Cook, 62, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, in Little Rock of a massive heart attack. He was Iota Theta Zeta number 356.

He was born March 14, 1953, in Lake Village, the son of Stuart and Willene West Cook. He graduated from Arkansas State University and had lived in Mountain Home since moving from Eudora in 1976.

He was united in marriage to Debora Kay Haney on May 15, 1993, at Mountain Home. He was an entrepreneur during his lifetime, owning and operating various businesses. He and Debbie are the former owners of Gamma Systems Inc. and Car Care, both of Mountain Home. They own and operate Mr. Tidy Express Car Wash in Little Rock.Bill enjoyed being with family and friends. He took great pride in his cooking and was a great chef. He loved entertaining his family and many life-long friends. He was an avid duck and pheasant hunter, loved to fish, and was a fan of NASCAR Racing. Bill had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He will be missed by many.In addition to his wife of 22 years, he is survived by his mother, Willene Cook of Mountain Home; a half-sister, Courtney Blossman of Asheville, N.C.; his mother-in-law, Annabelle Haney of Mammoth Spring; two sisters-in-law, Carol (Lyle) Haney of Mountain Home and Vickie (Greg) Barbee of Thayer, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Kenny (Konnie) Haney of Mammoth Spring; two cousins, Jane Kulbeth and Marilyn Mullins, both of Pensacola, Fla.; and many more cousins, nieces, and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Stuart M. Cook, and a half-brother, Stuart Edward Cook. A graveside service was held Oct. 26, 2015, at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Mary Jayne Ledgerwood officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas or Ducks Unlimited.
