Jim Mueller — No. 252

James “Jim” Alan Mueller, age 71, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. He was Iota Theta Zeta No. 252.

Jim was born July 7, 1947, in St. Louis to parents, Al and Doris Mueller. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1970 with a bachelor of science in education degree.Jim is survived by his wife, Pamela (Pam) McMurry Mueller. They had lived in Fort Walton Beach for 47 years.Jim will be remembered and missed by many. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Jim was a retired teacher, coach and administrator of 30 years in Okaloosa County. During his career in education, Jim served the students of Bruner Junior High School, Fort Walton Beach High School, Edwins Elementary School and Destin Elementary School.Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Jane McMurry; children, Ty Mueller (Andrea), Tammy Porter (Kelly) and Tracie Harley (Jimmy); eight grandchildren, Madison Mueller, Mackenzie Harley, Delaney Mueller, Maddox Mueller, Brooklyn Harley, Braxton Mueller, Peyton Harley and Taylor Porter.; a brother, Michael (Susie) Mueller; and a niece, Stacey Mueller-Mitchell of Fort Myers, Fla.He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Doris Mueller, and a grandchild, Zachary Porter.A Celebration of Life was held at Emerald Bay Country Club, Destin Fla., on Jan. 5.
