Word has been received of the death of George D. Love, who was Iota Theta Zeta No. 200, on Sept. 30, 2019, at his Princeton, La., home. He was originally from Stuttgart.

A longtime friend and fraternity brother, Clark Daviss, Iota Theta No. 215, reported that George and a friend had been watching sports on television the night before and the friend returned the next day to find that George had passed away in his sleep.

Brother George, age 74, had been a cardiac invalid and a diabetic for a number of years, according to Clark.

George was initiated with the spring pledge class of 1964 but transferred the next year to what was then Arkansas State Teachers College at Conway (now the University of Central Arkansas).

Survivors include his ex-wife, Jeanne, and a son, Jeff, both of whom live in Benton.

We have not been able to find an obituary, but Clark spoke with the coroner in Bossier Parish, who confirmed the death. He also said the son told him the body had been cremated but no burial service has been planned yet.
