William “Bill” Douglas Walker
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC. — William “Bill” Douglas Walker, 70, of Mount Pleasant, S,C,, husband of Doris Suggs Walker, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 12, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road. Burial was in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Bill was born Sept. 27, 1942 in Tuckerman, Ark., son of the late William Douglas Walker Sr. and Alice Kennedy Walker. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University and a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Iota Theta No. 183.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had a 42-year career in the automotive industry as a manager and consultant. He was also a member of the Seacoast Community Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Doris Walker of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Elizabeth Walker Hall of Dallas, Spring Walker of Mount Pleasant, and Ashley Walker Jeffcoat of Fort Mill, S.C.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Kennedy Walker.
