Ralph Hoffman Ice Cream Night

Please take time today to remember Ralph Hoffman, long-time beloved Significant Other of local player Barbara Ames and devoted father to his two daughters, Allison Claire and Jessica Susan Hoffman.  Ralph passed away May 24 at the age of 68 in his much-loved hometown city of Chicago, where he had been a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch for 38 years. He loved and found meaning in his work and serving his clients.  At the end of his life, he established a Foundation that will work tirelessly to provide opportunity to others, while honoring his memory.  In his bridge life, Ralph was the Chicago Player of the Year twice after returning to bridge in 2000 from a long hiatus.  He enjoyed competing at national and regional bridge tournaments, attaining the rank of Gold Life Master along the way.

In memory of Ralph, Barbara is joining with the Tournament Hospitality Committee to offer you one of Ralph's favorite foods--ice cream!  Please come and toast Ralph with ice cream after the evening session tonight!
