Goodbye

To All Our 2017 Players,

Well another fabulous Phoenix Desert Regional has come to an end. Unit 354 wants to thank each and every one of you for your participation.

Tournaments do not run by themselves. This tournament would not be possible without our Unit Board Members and local bridge players' hard work and dedication during the weeks and months leading up to this event and during the past week.  Many thanks to our board members: Rod Bias, Heather Cook, Kim Corbin, Guy Gundaker, Anne Marie Harrington, Eddie Katten,  Murali Nair and Alan Cook.

Partnership desk ran very smoothly with Anne Marie Harrington and her volunteers: Monique Greene, Rosemary Kerwin, Robbin Lieberman, Sheryl Martin, Mecha Mattson, Elaine Sarko, Linda Tucker and Debbie Weiss. Thank you for your help.

Registration helpers included Rod Bias, Brenda Biggs, Bill Carstens, Heather Cook, Kim Corbin. Ken Dubrau, Carmen Duffek, Eddie Katten, Pat Linville, Murali Nair, Lois and Jack Tracey,  Many thanks to you all.

Our set up and take down crew which involves moving and setting up the tables, supplies and equipment included Tom Windler, Guy Gundaker, Matthew Grant, and all the board members. We could not do this without your help.

Thanks also, to our wonderful Directors for all the long hours and guidance they gave us during the week. Thanks Patty, Linda, Bill, Kevin, Ken, Burke, Sallie and of course, our Director-In- Charge, Gary Zeiger.  We do not know what we would do without the guidance of Gary.  He is an integral part of the operation, every step of the way.  He is involved in the planning stages, the set up, the execution and finally, the ending.

Congratulations to all the event winners and those who won door prize drawings and the fish bowl prizes.

Thanks again for playing at the tourney. I hoped you enjoyed the marvelous playing site and were able to take advantage of the many amenities that were available.

Enjoy your last day here and have a safe trip home. Please join us again next year August 13 – 19 here at the Talking Stick Resort.
