Greeting

Hello Fellow Bridge Players,

It is with much joy and anticipation that I celebrate the return of the Glitter Gulch Siver Point Sectional to the Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Everyone locally and from out -of town seems super excited about it. I first must thank the Unit 373 Board for their work in securing this and all the volunteers who have helped make this happen. Secondly, I want to thank all of you that have come to play our wonderful game of bridge.

I think you’ll enjoy the playing room as it is clean and well lighted. You’ll particularly appreciate the closeness of the restrooms. There are many places within the Plaza to get something to eat. For fine dining there is Oscar’s (named after former mayor Oscar Goodman). Between sessions you might try Pop Up Pizza, Hash House A Go Go!, Sports Book Bar, or the Food Court which includes Zaba’s Mexican Grill, Subway, McDonald’s, and Cafelatte(which has specialty coffee drinks) which, by the way, you can bring into the playing site.

We look forward to your playing in our Knock Outs as well as our Swiss Teams on Friday. For you veteran players we have a very competitive Barometer 2 session event (Thank you Director Ken Horwedel for making this possible) on Thursday. We have stratified pair games every day at 10 and 3. There will be Section Top prizes awarded and Trophies for the Intermediate/Newcomers. We have 299er pair games every session. What a great way to win those Silver Masterpoints!

We will have speakers daily and their topics and times will be announced in this bulletin.

Las Vegas is such a fun city (that you can enjoy each night) and we hope that you will have equally as much fun playing bridge in this tournament.

Again, I can’t thank you enough for choosing this tournament to play in. With its success we hope this is just the beginning!

Any questions or issues please feel free to contact me at either 848 764 1060 or angieclark@comcast.net.

Have a great time and a great tournament!!
