The Kids Table Documentary Film Crew Comes to Gatlinburg
Members of the Los Angeles-based documentary film crew producing the feature film The Kids Table will be visiting the Gatlinburg, TN Regional on April 18 and 19. The Kids Table explores the world of Bridge through the eyes of four novice millennials who first started learning the game less than one year ago. Team members Edd Benda and Monique Thomas will be playing in Gatlinburg, while additional crew members will be on location capturing their experience and beyond.
While the millennial experience is central to the film, the movie explores multiple facets of the Bridge world ranging from players, to competitions and the surrounding culture. To date, the film crew has captured play at several clubs in the great Los Angeles area, as well as regional tournaments, and NABC events. The trip to Gatlinburg will be their first introduction to the largest Bridge tournament in the country.
Under the direction of Stephen Helstad, the film crew will be setting up an interview “Car Wash” where all are welcome to tell their best Bridge story in under 5-minutes. The interview location will be setup immediately adjacent to the main playing hall on Thursday, November 19th beginning at 12pm. All are encouraged to stop by for an opportunity to be included in the film!
